About Me

I live in Plymstock with my 1 wonderful child and My husband Andrew

I have been a registered childminder for 20 + years.

I attend play groups with my childminded children and I am a member of the nation trust, the aquarium, Paignton zoo and Pennywell farm Sparkwell zoo and woodlands. I make the most of being out and about in the surrounding areas enjoying the local parks , beaches, duck ponds . We also enjoy trips to the indoor play areas, Library and museums etc.


I have a seperate playroom for the children where everything is in easy reach for them to use , this opens on to the back garden where there are many outdoor toys for the children a wendy house and a purpose built pirate ship with many activities on board including a slide, blackboard, binoculars lots more .

I work closely with 2 other local childminders this helps to socialise the children with other children and registered known and trusted childminders, which parents could potentially use for holiday cover or shared care options.

Previous to me becoming a childminder, my chosen profession was in the catering trade. I am a fully qualified chef and restauranter , I enjoy making cakes, soups and may other things with the children in my care.

My Experience

I have been a registered childminder for 20+ years.

I have worked with many parents and children in this time encountering various needs and capabilities , some of these include, hearing problems, Speech delay, Autism and various disabilities.

I am used to working along side other childcare proffesionals , agencies and other childcare providers.

My Qualifications

I have an NVQ 3 in childcare along side many other childcare qualifications.

I offer government funded sessions for all age groups.

I am pediatric first aid trainned.

My Availability

I am very flexible in the hours of care I provide, this includes occasional overnight care . Please contact me for further information.

The best Childminder!

Nicky is great at what she does. My daughter Mila adored Nicky. I would not have any issues is recommending Nicky to anyone.
Unfortunately we moved to Scotland and had to say goodbye.

I have used this childminder for a few months and comes highly recommended. Very kind and reassuring after a years maternity leave. Provides my son with really good care and lots of activities to keep him entertained'! Professional friendly childminder.
