Hi I am a fun, outgoing, friendly and very professional 33 year old, living in between the Reading/Newbury/Basingstoke triangle.
I'm a qualified Childcare Provider with over 15 years experience in childcare with Distinction in CACHE Certificate in Childcare and Education NVQ2, and CACHE Diploma In Child Care and Education NVQ3.
My hobbies are swimming, cooking, keep fit classes, craft, walking in the countryside and spending time with my family.
I was working as a nanny for a family of 2 children. I have loved this role, but sadly they don’t need me anymore as their youngest one has started preschool full time and as they work from home they didn’t need me anymore as they can do the drop off and pick ups.
I have helped them out during the summer holidays , which was so nice to see them again.
Before this role I worked as a nanny for a family of 2 children for a year and a half, previously to this I worked as a nanny for 4 years.
In my roles I took sole charge Monday-Friday of childcare including cooking dinners. Together we enjoy craft activities, playing games, reading stories and cooking. I also enjoy the outdoors allowing experience of the natural environment and frequently go to parks, nature reserves and farm parks etc. I also take to swimming, children's groups and softplay etc to develop socialising skills.
I also worked in a Day Nursery for four years progressing to Room Leader of 12 children of rising 2's. In this role I had the responsibilities of planning the day to day activities to ensure the children have a fun and stimulating environment in which to play, promoting their development and learning. I managed 3 staff members in my room and developed a close relationship with the parents, some of whom I still keep in contact with.
I love children and I spend a lot of time with my 11 nephews and nieces, taking them on trips etc.
I have babysat for family and friends, and have cared for children over night.
My Experience
During college I worked at several placements in a variety of Childcare settings. I have looked after children aged 3 months-5 years and have also helped at holiday clubs with children up to 12 years.
I have experience of potty training and caring with children with allergies.
As stated above I worked as a Room Leader of a Day Nursery and have worked with children 9 months- 3 years. I also cared for a 4 year old boy after Nursery hours, taking him to the park, cooking his dinner, bathing him and putting him to bed. I am very involved with my 9 nephews and nieces, regularly taking them on outings, playing with them, baking and doing creative crafts.
While at college I worked weekends at a Creche at Mapledurham Golf Course where the children ranged in age from Birth upwards.
