About Me
I live in Hampton Village in a end of terrace cottage with my husband (who is a teacher)and son.We are within a 10 minute walking distance to Hampton train station on the Shepperton line with trains to Waterloo every 30 minutes and very close to various bus routes to Richmond, Teddington ,Twickenham,Kingston , Sunbury and Staines ..
We are lucky enough to be near Bushy Park and the wonderful gardens at Hampton Court Palace, Hurst Park can be reached by the ferry during the summer months but we also have use of numerous play parks a short walk away from our house.
The children will be cared for in a friendly, relaxed home environment and have the opportunity to play and learn with freedom of choice. I will encourage a child's development at their own pace and gently guide them towards their goals in a loving family atmosphere whilst keeping to the statutory framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

I have a variety of good quality toys and books such as small world toys, role play, cars ,puzzles etc. The children will also have the opportunity to visit Hampton Library for storytelling sessions and local groups for music/ movement and singing.
The children have access to our garden at all times whatever the weather !
Please note that I am a non driver but use public transport (and walk of course!).
I hold a membership card for Hampton Court Palace and visit as often as I can with the children.
We also visit local playgroups for the children to interact with larger groups of their peers..please note that due to COVID restrictions I will limit visits to groups for the time being.
My Experience
Registered by Ofsted as a childminder in 2013 completing the required steps as set out by Ofsted and my local authority, Richmond Upon Thames Early Years Team. This involved completing a 7 week course known as CYPOP5 , leading to an award from Cache. I also hold a current paediatric first aid certificate which I am required by law to update every 3 years.
Before choosing a career in childminding I worked as a SEN / Teaching Assistant within Key stage 1 and 2 for 5 years and then moved on to work with children within the Early Years stage in a nursery setting.
I took a break from children for 13 years and ran a local gift shop until we decided to close in 2012.
