About Me
I recieved my registration certificate to become a childminder in April 2013 so i am ofsted registered.
I live with my husband and my 12 yr old son .
I am a mum of 2 (30 yr old daughter and 12 yr old son)
& also I'm a nan to 2 grandchildren .
I became a childminder when my son started nursery as I wanted to get back to work but needed to there for him as well .
So decided to go to college and do my childcare corse to become a childminder .
(My children are now 34 and 16 )
I am very reliable, sociable ,warm and friendly person and im good with children. I am quite active and fun loving ! We go to playgroups around the area one of which I run on a Monday ,we go to the park and visits to the farm & museum .At home we have toys for all ages we do water play arts and crafts , reading ,story& singing time (which the children love) as well as learning.I implement the EYFS in to our every day.
I have made my home environment covid 19 safe we have routine's put in place : when children arrive we wash hands straight away ,every thing is disinfected thru out the day & every night worktops door handles floors & toys are cleaned . When we are out we social distance & stay in our little bubble ,hand sanitizer is used in intervals . This is for the safety of you & your child and myself & my family .
My home is very clean and tidy as you will see when you meet me . I do live in a flat so I don't have a garden but I live right next to Meath gardens which I use very often.
So if there is any mums or dads who need a childminder . I look forward to hearing from you .
I can do drop offs & pick ups Olga primary schools. I pick up from Olga Mon -thurs.
I am fully covid vaccinated now .
I do have a DBS check but it's not in my married name so can not upload it.
My Experience
My experience with children i have got from being a mum ,which i have been for 30 yrs .I worked when i had my daughter but was lucky to have the chance to be a fulltime mum for my son.
I worked at Dickens & Jones for 15 yrs starting off as a sales assistant , then after 4 yrs of working there i was promoted to a supervisor ,untill i was made redundant due to the store closing down.
Before then i worked at underwoods chemist and fine fare supermarket .
Now i have completed my Home based childcare service corse to be a childminder .

First aid
HABC level 2 award in food safety in catering (QCF)
Safeguarding/child protection

My Availability
I am available
Monday- 8.ooam -6pm
Tuesday- 8.00am- 6pm
Wednesday- 8.00am- 6pm
Thursday - 8.00am- 6pm
My Fees
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
Rate per day £60 (that is from 8am -6pm)
Rate per hr £9.50 if I have the child half day or school pick up)

We started our son full time with Michaela when he was just 10 months old, following a recommendation from close friends - and it’s one of the best decisions we’ve made.
From the very first settling-in sessions, Michaela made the transition feel genuinely effortless. She has a natural warmth and calm that put both our son and us at ease, and I was able to return to work with real confidence knowing he was happy and in safe hands.
The impact on his development has been remarkable. His vocabulary grows week on week, and he regularly surprises us with new words and phrases. Michaela keeps him engaged with a lovely range of activities -trips to the library, local parks and playgroups as well as art’s & crafts - and we treasure the photos and videos she sends throughout the week. It gives such wonderful peace of mind to see him thriving.
Most of all, our son absolutely adores her. Michaela has become so much more than a childminder to our family -she feels like a true extension of our parenting bubble, someone we trust completely with the person we love most. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

We sent our daughter (Maya) to Michaela when she was 1 year old. We had concerns about Maya for the first time, however Michaela made it a very easy for her to settle in. You have the opportunity to stay with your child for as long required however Maya loved it from day one!
Micheala is very conscientious and caring who looks after the children she looks after as though they are her own. She would take Maya out every day (weather permitting) to local parks, playgroups and local city farms which she really enjoyed. Her apartment is very clean, tidy and has lots of toys, colouring etc to entertain children.
Maya became very good friends with the other children she looks after as well as Michaela's family who are all extremely friendly and welcoming.
You do have to provide lunch for Maya however Michaela provided snacks and would make sure Maya was fed if she didn't eat what we provided.
Maya is now 2 and a half and we have moved out of the area, so unfortunately we could no longer take her to Michaela otherwise she would still be there! I would highly recommend Michaela who is also excellent value compared to other childminders in the area.
