About Me
My name is Shilpi Chandna, an Ofsted registered childminder in Calcot. I live with my husband and 2 gorgeous daughters 13 years and 9 years old . I provide a safe , fun, and nurturing environment for children in my home. I work closely with parents to ensure the best care for children.
I have a playroom for childminding with plenty of space and different varieties of toys ( for their social and physical development) through which children can enjoy their time here.
I offer a friendly and secure environment to children and provide trips to parks, libraries, toddler groups & soft plays .
I promote a healthy choice of snacks , drinks, and food. My aim is to give a happy , full of fun and warm home environment to all the children.

Monday to Friday, 7.30 AM to 6.30 PM ( flexible)
Full and part-time over and under 5 years spaces available.

I cover Theale CE primary school and have space for pick up and drops.

My son Theo has been with Shilpi for almost two years, and he absolutely loved going to her setting. From the beginning, Shilpi was incredibly understanding and supportive during the settling-in period. She often sent me updates throughout the day, especially when I was feeling worried, which gave me so much peace of mind.
Shilpi is very caring, and it’s clear that the children truly love her. She always does her best to work with parents, making sure both the child and the family feel happy and comfortable. We are very grateful for everything she has done for Theo.

Shilpi is a kind, caring and dedicated childcare professional who I would recommend without hesitation.
She was respectful and understanding when I was worried about leaving my daughter, listening to all my requests and supporting wherever she could. When my daughter was struggling to settle without me, Shilpi asked her favourite songs, foods, toys and activities to make sure she felt as safe as possible, and it was clear how much care and effort was being out in to ensuring my daughter was happy and well looked after.

Shilpi has been with my little one since he was 1 and now it 2.5 years old. He has grown to adore her and her home. She has lots of toys for different ages and goes out with them to the park, soft play, and small journeys. He’s made lots of friends and it’s been amazing to watch his personality develop, he’s quite confident. The main thing I know about my son is that he will not sleep if he’s not comfortable, he would have a sleep, he will eat all his food and plays. Shilpi updates me in the day which I love, and if there are any events like Mother’s Day my little boy will come with a picture

my 1 year old had such a nice few months with her. she always had clear communication with us, about food , sleep and activities. my little one was always happy with her.

My two daughters spend few days with Shilpi over Christmas period and they were so happy.
They got full bellies and a lot of drawing and activities during those days. Went to cinema and shopping centre. They're 6years old and 3 years old and they really enjoyed it.
It was super easy to contact Shilpi and to agree on terms. We have been using different Childminders throughout they years and she is one of the best ones. Will definitely come back if extra cover needed.

My 3 year old had been to 2 settings before, after moving to the area we chose Shilpi and by far it was our best decision. She was upfront with all procedures, costs and settling in stuff. Likes how she gave us the tour of her setting over video and then in person. My kid took over 2 weeks to settle with her and Shilpi was nothing but patient, considerate and supportive during this time. Now my child is happy and is learning new things every day with lots of outdoor trips as well as indoor. I would highly recommend Shilpi thank you for all your help .

She asked us to send our daughter early to settle. So we send her for extra hours She asks for extra money didn't even keep her for that long . And said ahe need more money and it should be in cash . I had feeling from start there is something wrong . Please ppl be careful.

This is an incorrect review as I don't have or had any parents where the child or parents' name is Tara . This is a closed account, and one can't even access this account . I have a waiting list, and I am full at the moment. by God 's grace . I have lovely parents I work with every day and most loving children, I look after full time .This is clearly a frustration of someone I declined for childcare . I would REQUEST EVERYONE who is looking for childcare to visit my setting , see my happy and safe setting , Talk to my current parents , see their recent feedback which I would share straight away, and DECIDE YOURSELF 💖.

My boy has been more than two years with Shilpi. He started when he was 11 months old Monday to Friday.He loves her and her family. He’s made some good friends there. Shilpi is the most kind person. She provides fun and safety environment, lots of different activities. My boy comes out with a smile every day. She is totally professional and I cannot recommend her highly enough!

My son started with Shilpi's setting when he was 2.5 year little one, and it's been more than a year now as he is reaching 4 soon.
- Shilpi's settling in sessions have been useful to get my son into the environment very well during the initial days.
- Being working parents, we felt so glad that we found such a reliable, trustworthy and well experienced person like Shilpi who always considered our kid like her own family member and ensured proper care at all times. Definitely home away from home t has been for my son at all times !
- An element which we were impressed by is the daily routine she setup for kids , how systematically she plans a day for kids to help them grow and develop in all ways needed for their age.
- Food wise : Shilpi is excellent is ensuring that the child always eats something or the other and the amount of options she prepares herself and helps the child eat shows her great patience. My son has been highly fussy at the age of 2.5 years and it used to be a struggle feeding him anything all 3 times a day. Thanks to her environment setting and her approach which left an impact gradually on my son and his food eating habits have improved to great extent over the months after he joined.
- Highly understanding women , she knows how to address any need or concern expressed by parent.
- Shilpi's interpersonal skills are great which have played major role in improving communication, vocabulary and the interpersonal skills itself of my child.
- Overall, I would say we couldn't have had any other better place for my son to start and grown other than in her environment.
Highly recommend shilpi as childminder for parents who are looking for trustworthy, caring , enjoyable and growth oriented setting for their little one.

Shilpi is looking after our son 3 year old from last 18 months . He goes every day with a big smile on his face . She put us at ease with her kind, trustworthy, professional manner from our very first meeting , Our son really enjoys his time in her setting and comes home with lots to talk about. He loves his friends and shares lots of activities with them . Shilpi shares pics and videos on a daily basis . She gives healthy food options and keeps great communication on a daily basis, too . I highly recommend her for anyone looking for a top quality, reliable, caring childminder.
