Childminder in Battersea (also available for babysitting)
My Summary
About Me
My childcare setting Dandelion Daycare opened in 2013 and has been serving families in the local neighbourhood between the commons ever since.
Over the years, we have built wonderful relationships with families in our local community. One of our greatest pleasures is continuing to see the children we once cared for, long after they have left Dandelion for school, and watching them grow into the people they are becoming.
We believe that some of the most important learning in the early years happens through relationships: talking together, sharing stories, exploring the world, playing, eating together and being involved in the gentle rhythms of everyday life.
Our exceptionally high adult-to-child ratio allows us to be responsive to each child's interests, temperament and stage of development. Rather than expecting children to fit around a rigid programme, we create thoughtful experiences around the children in our care, while ensuring that their learning and development is supported across the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Language and literacy are at the heart of Dandelion. We talk, sing, rhyme and read with children throughout the day, surrounding them with rich language and helping them discover the pleasure of books and stories from their earliest years.
We place equal importance on children's physical and emotional wellbeing. Nutritious food, fresh air, movement, rest and unhurried mealtimes are part of everyday life at Dandelion as well as warm and responsive relationships with caregivers.
We work closely with parents by building respectful relationships between home and Dandelion, we aim to give each child the strongest possible foundations for the next stage of their life.

My daughter was lucky enough to be in the wonderful care of Linda from around 15 months. Prior to this she was in a (well rated) nursery and then as part of a nanny share. At the time I thought the childcare in those settings was decent but it was only after we found find a full time spot with Linda that I realised everything that was previously missing.
Linda is an exceptional childminder - she has a natural gift with kids and works to ensure every child is provided the best care. The setting is homely, with nutritious home cooked meals (that my daughter still talks about!). They go out daily to explore the commons or down Northcote Road for a babycino. They provided more than just care but a truly family environment where my daughter thrived.
In a city where many of us don't have family close by, Linda became part our family and we were fortunate enough to have her around to provide childcare for us. I will always be grateful for the amazing start that she provided to us and could not recommend her more.

Linda began childminding my son full time when he was 9 months old and continues to offer wrap around care now that he is 4 years old. My daughter started full time with Linda at 6 months and continues to be cared for by Linda at 15 months.
She has been and is a fantastic childminder for all ages. Very caring, gentle and competent with young babies whilst also being fun, energetic and engaging for older ones. My 4 year old really looks forward to going to Linda’s after school and my 15 month old is always excited to arrive in the morning. I highly recommend Linda.
