About Me
hi, i am a registered childminder, I have three grown up children all now left home
i have been minding since 1995, (28) years. i have one cat. i currently live in markyate, in a large flat I have a loving a happy environment, all children are treated like one of the family,
I work alongside another childminder, we both help each other out, should there be any emergencies or illness, holidays, etc.this is designed to take the pressure of the parents.
i do local school runs, spend lots of time outdoors weather permitting, in holidays we go out visiting local places, like dunstable downs, woodside farm, Rushmere park, Tring museum etc. also do lots of indoor activities.
i visit mother and toddler group, every week also willing to visit childrens clinic if needed
i have full or part-time vacancies,
my hours run from 7.30 am to approx 6.00pm , other times via prior arrangements.

I have 2 boys who have been cared for by Karen for over 1 year and I have never seen them happier. Initially I was concerned about the fact that Karen was in a flat, but it is a large and very clean space and it actually is a positive rather than negative because she ensures that the moment the weather is fine that the boys experience the outdoors.
Karen is networked in with another long serving childminder in the village and therefore our children regularly mix with others and they often go on outings as a group.
Karen is honest and nothing is ever too much. She is flexible with little notice which is absolutely imperative given the types of jobs my Husband and I have.
I will never look back selecting Karen as our childminder the boys are in a home from home. I couldn't recommend her more.
