About Me
I am married with two grown up sons.I have enjoyed childminding for the last 15 year. I have a bright playroom full of toys and resources to suit the different ages of the children that I look after. We do lots of painting and glueing, playdough,baking etc.. Our days are always busy and full of fun. We attend local playgroups, soft play, libraries as well as visiting parks and other places that are of interest to the children. I am fully registered and a member of the Scottish Childminding Association. I have a large enclosed garden well equipped to allow the children to have fresh air and outdoor fun.
My last inspection report is available to read online. I offer a friendly,safe and home environment. I meet the needs of all children in my care and work in partnership with all parents.
My Experience
I previously worked in a private nursery for 7 years where I worked with babies from 6 months to pre-school where I qualified as a nursery nurse.
My Qualifications
I qualified up to SVQ LEVEL 3 in Childcare And Education whilst working in a private nursery. I have an updated First Aid certificate in Babies & Children.I have attended various training courses run by the Scottish Childiminding Association and continue to do so to enable me to be able to provide a good service.
My Availability
I am available tue wed 8am until 5.30pm

Polly was our childminder for nearly 4 years. She always adapted things to suit my child's interests. Sports and crafts helping him develop. She was always out and about with the kids doing different things and place newhailes, care home to sing or the zoo, bake or play to name a small fraction of the experriences my child had with her She was always very thought full and was keen to share what they had been up to in the day and hear about our weekends. She is knowledgeable and caring, always updating her knowledge and ideas with seminars or training. I can't say enough about how she cared for my child and me in a home from home setting and like a family member. Also how child focused and supportive of transitions/endings she was which really helped Huge thank you to her. It is a pleasure to recommend her.

My daughter started with Pauline at around six months old and recently stopped going at age three because we moved out of town. We both had a brilliant experience with Pauline and miss her dearly. The kids are often out and about doing various activities, and the indoor setting at Pauline's house was a lot of fun with a range of toys and arts and crafts every week. It's clear that Pauline puts a lot of thought into the different activities that they do, including making birthday cards for Mum and celebrating various festivities throughout the year. Pauline has a wealth of knowledge about little ones, and she has also become a personal friend of mine. If you are looking for a caring, creative and experienced childminder, I would highly recommend Pauline.

Pauline looked after our 15 month old boy Evan during the COVID 19 pandemic due to lack of childcare facilities. He absolutely loved going to Pauline`s house and she was always welcoming when my partner and I collected Evan.
It was a challenging time to be looking after children during the pandemic as many local amenities, such as libraries and play groups, were closed but Pauline always found something interesting for Evan to do. She has excellent organisational skills and Evan enjoyed playing arts and crafts with her, building blocks, playing in the garden and going for walks to local parks and the Portobello beach.
Pauline is very thoughtful and caring and has a personal touch with children. She has a good understanding of the needs and abilities of children and is warm, thoughtful, nurturing and energetic. I would definitely recommend Pauline, she`s such a lovely person and made Evan feel very welcome in her home. I`m sure a child of any age would enjoy spending time with her and playing in her house equipped with toys and games. I wouldn`t hesitate to contact Pauline in the future should our childcare arrangements change.
