About Me

VACANCY FOR SEPTEMBER 2026

Hello, I'm Maria and I have been childminding for over 23 years. I am Ofsted registered with a GOOD grading and I'm based in the Boslowick area of Falmouth where I live with my husband of 31 years. I have two adult children who have both recently flown the nest. Our home is a welcoming and happy environment and I aim to offer care tailored to the individual needs of the children I care for and their families.

We have many toys for children of all ages and we do lots of interesting and fun activities here at home as well as visits and trips out locally and further afield.

We have a large secure garden which we use for play, exercise, gardening and FUN.

We are a non-smoking and pet free zone.

My Experience

As well as having two children of my own, I have cared for over 50 children during my years of childminding.

My Qualifications

All of my family and I have an Enhanced CRB check and I have a current Paediatric First Aid Certificate and Multi Agency Safeguarding Certificate.

I work using the Early Years Foundation Stage and attend regular training courses relevant to the health, development and wellbeing of children, details of which can be supplied on request.

My Availability

Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm

I offer all day care and before or/after school care.

Please contact me to discuss hours outside of these times as I do try to be flexible and accommodate as far as possible.

I have vacancies from September 2026. Please contact me for details if you require childcare before this date to discuss any unexpected availability.

My Fees

  • Childminding from £6.50 per hour

Most fees are covered by Funded Childcare, 15 or 30 hours. I aim to be flexible in regard of the use of hours and I do not have set session times. Any hours above your funded allocation are charged at my hourly rate of £6.50.
At present I do not have a consumable fee but there may be occasions where I ask you to contribute to particular educational trip, but this would always be with prior notice and discussion.
