Hi, I’m Leia! I’m a warm, friendly and energetic person who genuinely loves spending time with children and getting to know their individual personalities.
I’m naturally active and outdoorsy and love surfing, swimming, hiking and yoga, so I’m always happy getting children outside, exploring and trying new activities. I also enjoy quieter activities such as baking, arts and crafts, games and reading.
I’m caring, patient and reliable, while still being confident setting boundaries and keeping routines when needed. I really enjoy creating a fun and relaxed environment where children feel happy, comfortable and secure.
I’m currently based in Bristol and am available for ad-hoc nannying, daytime and evening childcare, weekends and travel nanny work.
My Experience
I’m a qualified primary school teacher with QTS and over 10 years of experience working with children across a range of settings.
My experience includes primary teaching, private childcare, nannying and travel nannying both at home and abroad, including ski holidays. I’m confident caring for children of different ages and adapting to different family routines, environments and needs.
Through my teaching background, I’m experienced with behaviour management, routines, homework and learning support, as well as helping children build confidence and independence.
I’ve also volunteered as a surf therapy mentor with The Wave Project, supporting children through surfing and positive experiences outdoors.
I hold a First Class degree in Primary Education with History, Qualified Teacher Status and a Level 3 TEFL qualification.
