About Me

I use to be a nanny as you can see from my profile, but I am now a psychotherapist and mother of one baby boy (currently 3 months old). I am due to go back to work when he is 6 months old and am looking for a part time nanny.

My Experience

I have just relocated back to Warwick where I grew up and have nannied before.

I have just finished a wonderful nanny share role with a combination of 5 children - two toddler boys, one loving, cuddly and sensitive and the other a wonderful, inquisitive and always had me laughing! Two older school age kids who were both loving and kind hearted and one little baby who I occasionally helped mum with whilst she was on maternity leave. This role ended as the children were off to full time nursery.

Prior to that I did a mix of part time roles - one for the brother of my last employer (in the share). They had a 3 year old and twin girls of 3m when I started - this was to help whilst mum on maternity leave and one family also on maternity leave with a 7 month old girl. All of these kids were utterly gorgeous and wonderful and the families and extended families (grandparents, aunts, uncles etc) were all welcoming and treated me with great respect, trusting me with their young babies. These roles ended purely due to the covid pandemic causing financial constraints to the families or temporarily moving out of London. This is when one of the families kindly passed me to their sister’s family where I worked until recently in the share.

Prior to this I was working with a wonderful family with twin, vegan boys of 18 months before they moved to Scotland.

Before my training began I was working full time in a sole charge role with two boys. I started looking after the eldest when he was 6 weeks old and the youngest from 2 days old. This job lasted for 3-4 years when they moved back home to the US. I have since been to visit them and we stay in touch regularly.

I worked for my previous family until the children went to nursery (B3, G5) and have previously nannied for five families, one with two boys (3, 6), one with three children (G1, B5, G11), one with sole charge care of a boy of 9 months who had severe food allergies. The other two families were one girl of 15 months and two children (G3, B1).

My Qualifications

I have recently moved back to Warwick, having lived in Stoke Newington/Islington, London where I began my training to be a Child and Family Therapist. This is a part time course which involves twice a month (Wednesdays) at University, and one day of clinical work (Thursdays). This work has taught me an immense amount about children and how they think and develop and how families can work together. I also previously gained a teaching qualification through the Graduate Teacher Programme, primarily teaching Year 1 and Year 2 classes. Being a primary school teacher gave me great insight into the importance of education for children from a young age; something which I have brought into my work as a nanny.

I am Ofsted registered, which of course entails recent first aid training and CRB check, and I also have advanced knowledge of food allergens and anaphylaxis training due to the needs of my previous 9 month old charge.

I am a proactive and enthusiastic nanny. I love to organise playdates, attend local soft plays, farms, parks and keep the children in a well structured, fun routine. I am a keen cook and take this passion for food with me to my work, ensuring that I cook nutrious and well balanced meals. I am a loving, reliable, confident nanny and can provide good references.

I also have both a UK and American passport.
