Hello, My name is Amy. I live in Ropley, Hampshire. had a very exciting 2017, I had my first child in June and got Married in October!, I went on to have my second child in 2019.
I am a friendly, fun, enthusiastic and extremely organised individual and I love working with children, as it is a fun and caring job.
I am reliable, trustworthy and enjoy getting to know families.
I was a Ofsted registered home child carer since December 2013, but I changed roles due to the pandemic and didn't require this anymore, however I would be happy to be ofsted registered again if someone requested it.
I have my Btec National Diploma in Children's care Learning and development level 3.
I have had a Nannying Role since September 2013-2020. My nannying role involved, getting the children ready for school in the morning -breakfast, brushing their teeth, taking and picking up from school, taking them to various clubs and activities after school, helping with all homework and then preparing and cooking their tea, bathing them and getting them ready for bed (as well as providing basic care) I plan and provide activities for the children to do, baking, arts and crafts, outdoors and messy play to continuously increase their development in fine and gross motor skills, communication and general skills such as team work and sharing!
I am reliable, trustworthy, hard working and eager to learn and gain more new experiences.
I can communicate well with parents, I listen to what they want from me, their child or whether it's a routine they are after. Throughout my work I was able to gain new skills and confidence in talking to people and always had good reports and references back from my supervisors and customers at my workplace.
I currently work as a night student support assistant at Treloars for students with Cerebral Palsy and Muscular Dystrophy. I have had so much training in this role, which I am happy to list if someone would like to know. Ranges from manual handling all the way through to meds and gastro training. I am basic and advanced feeding trained for students that are at severe risk of choking and don't have the ability to chew or swallow . I am gastro trained and diabetes.
Overall I Enjoy what i do and I wouldn't change it for the world!

I have worked with multiple families since September 2013, ages ranging from 0-12. I am still with the family I first started with after college in September 2013!
I have worked in nurseries, I have been a mothers help, babysitter and a full and part time nanny.
I worked in a pub in petersfield for 3 years where I started as a Sunday waitress and worked my way up to head waitress/manager, gaining greater responsibilities such as key holder, cashing up, opening up & closing down, working every evening and all weekend where I grew my confidence from a quiet 16 year old girl to feeling comfortable to talk to anyone and using my own initiative to get the job done.
My nursery work included working with children between the ages of 4 months and 5 years.
Changing nappies, putting children to bed for a nap, feeding children, giving bottles, planning and implementing activities, complete observations to record progress in the childs development.
My Qualifications
- I have completed my course at South Downs college, Which was, Btec National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning and Development Level 3.
- I have completed 2 paediatric first aid course, first one was completed September 2013, second one was completed October 2016 and is to be renewed October 2019
- I was an ofsted registered home childcarer, however due to the recent pandemic, I had little nanny work around, so didn't renew for this year but I am very happy to renew if someone would like me to work for them.
- I accept childcare vouchers

I am looking for Full time, Part time or Ad Hoc work with a family.
