I have over 23 years of experience of working with children and have a lovely homely environment that will enable your child to settle and feel secure. I provide a blended curriculum and all children have lots of fun while learning in a homely setting, I have a playroom and dining/craft area (I also have a sleeping area for babies), I have a large secure garden and have many toys both inside and outside for children to enjoy.
I provide a learning journey for every child under school age and provide regular updates.
I have been a registered childminder for over 14 years, I am professional and caring and have experience working with children of all ages including newborns (see experience below). I was rated GOOD by Ofsted in December 2018.
I have 2 children of my own (Boy 26 & Girl 21) and 2 stepchildren (all grown up now).
I am situated close to bus routes.
I believe children learn through play and discovery, I provide and encourage lots of learning play by providing age-appropriate resources with lots of fun, working through an age-appropriate curriculum, encouraging both free play and adult lead play, scaffolding learning, encouraging a sense of discovery, experimenting and asking questions, which children enjoy within my setting. I am fully trained with a level 3 diploma and implement this to enable your child to learn and grow while providing you with regular reviews.
I visit local parks, take children on woodland walks, and encourage lots of outdoor play in the garden (whilst weather allows) encouraging children to learn about their changing environment as the seasons change through the year as well as many outdoor resources for play. I am fully Covid-19 compliant.
I am also able to help primary school-age children with their homework. I currently collect from Tatsfied Primary and Little Acorns.
I can also collect Pre-school children from Rainbows, Sparkles, Cudham, or Honeys.
I also have experience with under 1's and have many toys and resources for this age group too.
My Experience
I have a level 3 Diploma in childcare.
I do regular training online in many areas of childcare, as well as regular training on courses as part of my professional development.
I trained within a school environment (whilst training as a Teaching Assistant level 2).
I have worked with children since 2004, and have 2 children of my own and 2 stepchildren.
I worked in a voluntary capacity at a toddler group for many years before becoming a preschool practitioner and a registered Childminder in 2009.
I have experience working in Early Years as a pre-school practitioner and also in 1 to 1 special needs preschool care.
I also worked as a creche worker.

I have a level 3 diploma in childcare
Currently training in New Development Matters to begin September 2021
I have a current 1st aid certificate,
A certificate for EYFS observing babies and under 2's

Our little girl has been with Brenda for 2 years and has loved every minute of her time there. It was important to us she have a home from home environment leaving her so young, Also someone who could meet our daughters medical needs as she had severe reflux. Brenda made us feel so at ease and was great with our daughter.
Brenda provides amazing learning opportunities for all ages and rotates her activities to provide new stimulating activities for the children who are in her setting.
The learning journeys she produces are phenomenal and the regular updates during the day of how My little girl is are so reassuring.
Brenda is flexible with timing and has been able to accommodate our needs as a family.
Our daughter has loved her time with Brenda and we will be so sad to leave her setting because our little girl is off to school.
I can not recommend Brenda highly enough and we will miss her being such a big part of our lives.

Brenda has offered the flexible, part-time childcare that we were looking for and has now been a childminder to our little boy for over a year. She has provided a range of fun learning experiences at home and visits out to a local toddler group and parks etc during the holidays which he thoroughly enjoys and also means he gets to play and mix with a range of children his age. He has made good friends with other children in her care and always greets me with a smile at the end of the day. Brenda provides excellent communication and always keeps us up to date with what our little boy is doing and any other relevant information.

Thank you for the lovely review, it's a pleasure looking after your little one.
Brenda has been looking after our children - 5 and 6 - for a little over 18months now. Both of our children attend Tatsfield school which she picks up from Mon-Fri term time, as well as looking after them on inset days and Mon-Wed during holidays. Our children are happy with Brenda, are well looked after, and as parents that puts our minds at ease. They enjoy trying new foods with her (which are always home made, varied and to their liking). Brenda supports them in completing their homework and reading with them, and provides a variety of toys to play with, books to read, and things to play with in her garden.
She is very reliable and has gone above and beyond for us such as during the recent snow when she hiked into Tatsfield to collect the children early from school (roads were impassable and we were stuck at work). She is on top of every defined Offsted process and procedure and timely in providing her invoices.

Thank you for the great review.
Brenda has been working for us for nearly two years and provides my children with a safe and happy place after school.
She helps us with extra days when she can and her communication with us is excellent.
