About Me

Hello! My name is Emma Randall and I'm 24.

- I have experience working with children aged 6 weeks - 17 years professionally since 2012

- I am fully qualified with a Triple Distinction grade (BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma) in Children's Care, Learning and Development

- I'm looking for Nannying work around the Manchester area

- I graduated from the University of Derby with a 2:1

- At home I work in a nursery/pre-school/kids club where I care for children of all ages.

- I am very patient, encouraging and try my best to promote children's development at all opportunities.

- I genuinely love spending time with children; getting to know them, playing, activities, teaching etc.

- I can provide many references from childcare professionals that I have worked with/parents that I have worked for over the years if you would like further reassurance of my professionalism, quality of care and relationships with children.

- I find caring for children a very rewarding job and have been told I am 'a natural' and 'very maternal'

- I am DBS checked and more than happy to show evidence/bring ID with me

My Experience

At home I work at Little Rainbows Nursery and Pre-School/Kids Club (before and after school care) which involved working with a mix of ages which I love! I have also privately nannied and babysat for 6 families in my local area at home in Leicestershire.

2017
My most recent experience is with Mark Warner working as a Nanny/Activity Leader, this involved entertaining the children all day and caring for them in the evenings, including one week working privately as a one-to-one with a severely autistic child.

2016
I worked at Little Rainbows over the summer, helping to run a fun-filled kids club (aged 4-11) which included a lot of running around and painting faces!

2014 - 2015
I privately Nannied during my ski season. I absolutely loved the job and it was great fun playing with the kids daily. I cooked for the children and was often responsible for their bedtime routine and baby sitting.

2012 - 2014
I completed a BTEC level 3 extended diploma in children's care, learning and development at Leicester College with the grade Triple Distinction. During the course I completed 4 placements; reception, Key Stage 1, a nursery and a childminders.

2011
I started an Art and Design course, however I left in 2012 after deciding I wanted a career working with children. I consider myself to be creative and artistic, which is always a bonus when working with kids! I'm polite and friendly and can quickly develop a positive and friendly relationship with a child.

My Qualifications

As stated above, I completed a level 3 childcare course at Leicester College with a triple distinction grade and I am now qualified as a nursery nurse or a teaching assistant. The course covered 15 units including first aid, safeguarding children, all areas of development from the moment of conception up to the age of 16, playing, diet and nutrition, planning activities and observations, law and legislation, health and safety and many other areas within caring for children.

I have had experience working as a nanny/mother's help but also in cafes, bars and restaurants and so I am aware of the importance of food hygiene and balanced diets. I consider myself to be a good cook and am happy to cook for children and families as part of the nannying role.

I worked as a house cleaner while at uni and so I have lots of experience professionally cleaning and know the importance of a clean environment with correct hygiene procedures.

I have now found a full time job, however I am available for weekend only babysitting for £8 per hour/£10 per hour after midnight. Rate reflects my extensive professional experience within childcare and my qualifications.

We used Emma’s services in Derby for hotel babysitting as a one off when we were visiting for a family wedding, she stayed in touch during the evening which was reassuring, she was on time and seemed generally nice. She responded to my messages and provided an excellent service.

Thanks Emma!!
