About Me

Hello, I’m Christine, an Ofsted registered childminder based in Willington, offering a warm, homely and nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued and ready to learn.
I provide:
• 30 hours free funded childcare for eligible working parents
• Free funded places for 2 year old's
• Funded places for 3 & 4 year old's
• 9 month old funded childcare (where eligible)
I work alongside my husband Bobbie, who is my registered assistant. We are both DBS checked. Together, we offer a caring, family centered setting with strong routines, consistent boundaries, and a genuine commitment to children’s wellbeing.
As parents of grown up children ourselves, we fully understand how difficult it can be to leave your child in someone else’s care.
We aim to make this transition as smooth and reassuring as possible.
Settling In
Every child settles differently, so I offer:
• Free informal introductory visits
• Flexible settling in sessions
• Open communication — parents are welcome to phone or drop in for reassurance
My goal is to build trust, confidence, and a strong bond with both you and your child from day one.
My Setting
Children enjoy:
• Daily outdoor play
• A calm, homely environment
• Healthy breakfasts, lunches and snacks
• Opportunities to grow food, care for plants, and explore nature
• Play experiences covering all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
I plan activities that build on your child’s interests, support their development, and encourage learning through fun, meaningful play. Structured play opportunities help children develop new skills while still allowing plenty of freedom for child initiated exploration.
My most recent Ofsted inspection awarded me ‘Good’ overall, with ‘Outstanding’ for Behaviour and Attitudes’, reflecting the positive relationships, routines and learning experiences within my setting.
