About Me
I have been registered as a Childminder with the CIW since December 2002. I am married & have a son.
I provide home based care for children of all ages, I also provide care for before and after school, holidays and a collect/drop off service.
I have a playroom which I use for my childminding which has a variety of toys for all ages and a large secured back garden with slides and a variety of bikes & cars. I regularly attend local toddler groups, soft play, parks and local attractions in Barry, Penarth & Cardiff.
My Experience
I have been a childminder since 2002 caring for children from the age of 4 months to 11 years old. I have provided care for families with children with special needs. I have provided care for families over long periods of time with several families coming back to me with siblings.
I have references and policies available to view in my portfolio in line with the National Minimum Standards.
My Qualifications
Cache Level 3 in Childminding Practice
Language & Literacy for 3-11 year olds

Paediatric First Aid
Food Hygiene
Child Protection
My DBS checks and Insurance are all up to date
My Availability
From September 2024 I will only have a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday available.
The spaces available are for Term and Half Term.
I can transport to and from various schools/nurseries depending on times needed.
My opening hours are from 730pm to 430pm but hours are negotiable on an individual basis

Paula has been my boys childminder from a couple of months old up until now at 4 years old. I have ALWAYS been exceptionally pleased with the care she has provided my son. He has always been well looked after, is happy in Paula's care and always has the best time. He is literally bursting to tell me what he has been upto, playing, been on walking adventures at the parks and playgroups or making some sort of crafts.
Coming from a home that had no pets He fell in love with Marley (Paula's family dog) from the start, poor Marley has probably been pulled left right and centre and is still the most lovable dog. We have even now got a dog ourselves.
Overall I have been so happy with everything over the years and Paula has become not just a childminder but a friend to my son and he loves her like family. I could not recommend anyone any more highly, you won't find any better!
