About Me
I am looking for a new post from September 2025 as the little girl I am currently looking after will be going to Nursery. I have loved looking after E for the last 18 months helping her develop & grow in independence. We have visited lots of parks & enjoyed spending time outdoors , we have also been equally happy playing games at home & reading lots of books especially Stick Man . Ideally I’m looking for 3 days a week 8/9 am start to 5/6 pm finish but all of this is flexible for the right family .I am unable to work on a Friday as I have 2 of my Grandsons that day & would love to continue spending time with them .

I am a mum of 3 plus 2 step children( all 27 plus now ) and living with their own partners & families & a Nanny to 11 gorgeous grand children.
I live with my husband in North Bristol with our crazy Collie Cassie.
I have been involved in child care for 30+ years now and still have a passion for helping children reach their full potential through a gentle & nurturing approach.
I enjoy cooking with children & also preparing nutrious family meals
I love the outdoors nothing better than kicking the leaves around in the Autumn or jumping in a puddle or 2 ( the mud washes off !!)
I also offer evening & occassional weekend Baby sitting & have also helped at Weddings & family events caring for children so parents can relax .
My Experience
I qualified in 1988 as a nursery nurse and immediately started Nannying with sole charge of 2 children aged 4yrs and 3 months, when the family moved back to London I did some supply work in various Nurseries in Bristol before securing a full time position as a Nursery Nurse in a 30 place Nursery in Henbury.
I left after having my 2nd child to become a stay at home mum for several years but still did some supply work from time to time & had my third child.
After moving to Devon I then became a carer for elderly people in their own homes, after a few years I moved on to become a carer in a nursing home.
Since moving back to Bristol in 2010 I have worked in a pre-school and also been a Nanny to a 2 yr old boy who has cochlear implants to enable him to hear. Sadly the family had moved out of the area and the commute was too far.
I then worked for the same family for the 2.5 years caring for 2 children after school each day ,during school holidays and when they have been poorly.
I then worked for a family caring for their daughter from the age of 1-3 years. During the time I entertained her with a variety of activities in the home and outdoors with visits to the park and soft play. We enjoyed cooking together and making things especially a mess.
I was then employed looking after 2 boys ( 1 has severe anaphylaxis so am very aware of allergies and epi pens)
It has been a pleasure watching the 2 boys grow up but as the family didn’t need me as much for Nannying so it was time to find a new position which is where I have been happily employed for the last 18 months .
My Qualifications
NNEB nursery nurse qualification
Pediatric first aid course will be updated in June
Behavior management certificate.

My Availability
My week day availability is Monday - Thursday as I care for my Grandsons every Friday & I can also offer occasional evening & weekend childcare
