Welcome to my profile :) My name is Elizabeth and I live in Canterbury, Kent with my husband and dog Ally. I have worked with children and young people for over 20 years, have experience in a nursery and have worked as a childminder in the past. Now that my own children have grown up i am happy to help parents with babysitting and general help around the house, especially as a mother's helper.
Years ago, i made the move from Scotland to England but had little support with my babies as there was no family around. I have found that many other parents are in the same position and would like some time for themselves to sleep, go out to meet friends or out with their other halves. And that's were i can help out, especially in those early days when your baby is very young and you would just like a bit of help around the house.
I have many qualifications in childcare and have recently trained to teach baby massage and baby yoga. I like gardening, reading and baking. I find looking after children a rewarding experience and love being able to offer a flexible service so that life flows more easily for parents.
My Experience
I come with 20 years of childcare experience and in the past i have worked in a nursery in a baby room and also as a childminder. My childcare experience covers the age ranges from newborns to early teens. I also enjoy teaching baby massage and baby yoga in the Canterbury area.
My Qualifications
* Level three Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce.
*I have a nursing diploma, although i am no longer registered as a nurse.
*I have a level one certificate in food hygiene.
*First aid trained.
*Observation, assessment and planning.
*I have also been on a safeguarding course.
*I have been on a course called 'getting it right or babies'.
*Supporting children with Speech, Language and Communication needs.
*Child Protection Course
*Diploma in Baby Massage
*Diploma in Baby Yoga
*Hypnobirthing Practitioner
My Availability
I am available throughout the year for weekday and weekend babysitting. I'm also available as a mother's helper. I cover Canterbury, Whitstable, Herne Bay areas.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
My fees are £10 per hour per family and i prefer to be paid in advance. Payment can be made by cash, PayPal, bank transfer or debit/credit card.

My son has been with Elizabeth for approximately two years and she has provided excellent care picking up from school and taking care of him until I return from work.
She is vey nurturing and caring and he absolutely adores her. She always provides interesting things for him to do consulting with him and providing him with excellent learning opportunities. eg she supported him getting his two Blue Peter badges which he is extremely proud of.
