I am a 27 year old nanny with 11 years experience working with children in varied roles. I love being a nanny and making a difference to family's lives and enabling their children to grow and develop.
In my spare time I mainly enjoy going for long hikes with my dog, reading, cooking, swimming, and most recently, getting the miles in on my spin bike! I can play the piano,however this has been neglected in recent years unfortunately. I am quite creative and I enjoy thinking of different activities for the children to do who I care for. Activities which I do with the children I care for include swimming, baking and cooking, going to the park/woods/for a walk,going to varied playgroups and arts and crafts. I also organise playdates, days out to the zoo, farm, soft play etc.
I keep track of children's development and organise age appropriate activities to strengthen all areas of development.
My Experience
I have 11years of experience in childcare, including 7 years as a full-time nanny, 1 year in a nursery, and 3 years in a special needs school which catered for 2-19 year olds. I have worked closely with children 1-11.
My Qualifications
Most recent CPD, Level 2 Introduction to Neuroscience in Early Years.
Paediatric first aid renewed in February 2022. I have gained my Level 3 in Specialist Support in Teaching and Learning in Schools. I achieved very good GCSE grades at Parklands High School,Chorley, which were all C and above, including A* in English language. I have previously undertaken training such as Signalong, paediatric first aid, level 2 food safety, safeguarding, equality and diversity, PSED, safer eating and drinking, autism awareness, challenging behaviour, basic life support training, gastronomy and epilepsy and magnet training.
