About Me
I am qualified primary teacher who enjoys working with children. Children often find me fun which makes learning for them enjoyable! I am also a mum of two wonderful young girls and love spending time with them. I can also teach African drumming and teach French and Spanish at primary level.
My Experience
I have trained as primary school teacher. My personal favourite subjects are history and French but ofcourse I have knowledge of all subject areas in the curriculum. I have taught across ks1 and 2.
I have worked as a nursery nurse and have baby sat a numerous times. Coming from a big family, I understand the importance of giving children opportunities to build their confidence and grow.
My goal and drive as a teacher is to help children overcome challenges they face in subject areas by making it enjoyable for them and helping them understand challenging concepts. One to one tuition gives children the advantage of asking questions freely and having concepts repeated in different ways that suit them until they gain an understanding.
My Qualifications
I have GCSE's in all core subjects including Maths, English, Science as well as history, French, Spanish, media and sociology.
I have A-levels in Sociology and Health and Social Care. My knowledge and understanding of child development grew as I studied health and social care. I enjoyed it very much.
I am also a qualified teacher and have plenty of experience working in a primary school. I have run french clubs in the past and maths booster classes.
My Availability
Weekend mornings and weekday evenings. I'd prefer to tutor online but if you're local then I can consider making exceptions.
