My Summary
About Me
Thank you for looking at my profile but I’m no longer available.
I’ve just had to leave my profile visible for my previous parents to write their review.
Fun, experienced and safety conscious Nanny available -
I am a qualified and experienced nanny and have worked with families in a 'home' setting for the last 30 years.
I am married with two grown up children who are no longer living at home.
I enjoy being outdoors and my hobbies include playing golf and cycling.
Before Covid I volunteered for several national charities but what makes me really happy is supporting parents with babies and young children.
When cooking for the children I make most meals from fresh to provide a nutritious and balanced diet, which I have found the whole family have enjoyed. I also use fresh foods for weaning.
My Experience
Most activities are child led and I give older children the choices of different activities and outings (having discussed with parents beforehand).
Past activities have included musical and craft activities, baking, trips to parks and toddler groups, visits to libraries and museums, reading and lots of games.
I am extremely safety conscious and I have a personable, caring approach that covers everything from preparing home cooked food for the children to structuring activities to develop the children’s self esteem, and giving them new experiences.
I give feedback to parents on their children's development and encourage children to develop good manners and beliefs. Children respond best to clear boundaries set for good behaviour.
I have experience of working with twins and siblings.
The youngest set of twins I’ve looked after have been 10 weeks old, providing support to a 'new' Mum.
I am available to help support a 'new' mum from the first couple of weeks (after Dad has returned to work) when the days can be very long.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 – Early years child care and education
First Aid (last updated Jan 2023)
Food Hygiene certificate
Other short courses on childcare/development
I have nanny Insurance and excellent references which parents who want to use me can check with the families I have worked with over the years.
My Availability
Ideally, I would be interested in any roles where you need emergency short term care (please contact me to discuss) I can offer some flexible on days.
I am also available to help 'new' mums on an ad hoc basis.
If you are interested in finding out more details please message me.
All necessary certificates and insurance will be available to see at interview stage.
Thank you for looking at my profile.

Lisa was there to help when my husband and I were learning to be new parents. She came and it was like a breath of fresh air. She took our newborn baby out for walks, trips to the library and just brought a sense of calm to our home. She is such a caring nanny and I’d recommend her to everyone! Our baby loves her and I’m so glad to have found her when we needed help!

Lisa has worked for us for 5 years. The only reason she doesn’t anymore is because my job has changed.
She went above and beyond with our daughter who absolutely adores her.
The home cooked food was wonderful as a bonus!
Chloe was born premature, and needed some additional help, like physio. Lisa worked with her everyday to ensure she was getting what she needed.
As chloe got older, they have done lots of activities together, including going to the library, days out to Manchester museum and three local farms.
I can highly recommend her and she will be an asset to any family.

Lisa is a fantastic nanny with lots of energy and great initiative. She has been temporarily looking after my baby boy (who doesn't give her much of a break!) and has been a great help. She takes him out every day and he always sleeps well after a day with her. I really couldn't have coped without her!

Lisa has been our Nanny to initially our first two children and then to our third for the past 4 years. She has become part of our family and such an asset to us. Reliable, energetic and trustworthy with years of experience. All our children adore her and we can rest easy knowing they are well cared for. Happy to be contacted for a full reference.

We were looking for someone to look after our french twins aged 3 for random hours as we were both working in an airline company and Lisa was ready to come to our house very early in the morning. The children liked her a lot even if they didn't understand English when we arrived. She enjoyed playing with them and so did the children. Unfortunately our stay in england didn't last so we had to go back to France but we would have enjoyed to keep Lisa longer as a nanny. We hope to find someone like her later.

Lisa helped us out at short notice for a week when our twin girls were 10 weeks old. She was great with the girls and with me giving me useful tips which were invaluavble as a first time mum. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she did things without asking (in a good way). She was always early for her 'shift' and was always willing to stay longer to ensure a job was done.
