Aunty DD provides exceptional, loving care....

My daughter has been cared for by Aunty DD at Puddle Ducks, and I can confidently say she has been one of the greatest blessings in our lives. From the very beginning, Aunty DD has supported my daughter and loved her as if she were her own. She consistently goes above and beyond to meet her needs, and has always been available for me—even out of hours—without hesitation. She is a beautiful, kind soul who pours genuine love, passion, and understanding into everything she does.

When my daughter first joined Aunty DD’s setting, she was quiet, shy, and preferred to watch from the sidelines. Aunty DD took the time to work with her individually, gently encouraging her confidence day by day. The transformation has been incredible. My daughter flourished under her care—she became more confident, expressive, and truly happy. Today, she is a respectful, emotionally aware little girl who understands her feelings and is considerate of others too. Aunty DD played a huge role in helping her through some very difficult life changes, and I will forever be grateful for the stability and love she provided.

Every day, Aunty DD cooks fresh homemade meals that my daughter absolutely loves. She has tried foods she never would have touched before, and now she eats with a smile. The environment Aunty DD has created is safe, nurturing, and full of warmth. My daughter has always felt comfortable expressing her emotions without fear of judgement, and she trusts Aunty DD deeply.

One of the biggest milestones was potty training. With Aunty DD’s support, my daughter was fully out of nappies within two weeks. She proudly declared herself a “big girl” and refused pull-ups altogether. I genuinely don’t know where I would have been without her guidance and dedication during that time.

Aunty DD is not just a childminder—she is a remarkable, caring, and devoted person who has made a lasting impact on my daughter’s life. I am endlessly grateful for everything she has done for us. Any child would be incredibly lucky to be in her care.

A Heartfelt ‘Thank You’ for our Auntie DD

I have been searching for the right words for days, but nothing feels quite enough to capture the gratitude I feel. For a year and a half, Durrey has been far more than a childminder to my family — she has been a second mother to my little boy, a steady source of love, stability, and joy during some of the busiest and most precious years of his young life.

From the moment we first met her, we felt an instant sense of trust and warmth. She welcomed my son with open arms and a gentle smile that immediately put both him and me at ease. At an age when little ones can feel the uncertainty of change, she created a home away from home that was filled with laughter, structure, kindness, and endless love. Every single day, he was cared for not just attentively, but with a deep, genuine love that shone through in everything she did.

In her care, my son absolutely thrived. I watched him grow in confidence, curiosity, and happiness in ways that filled my heart. He went from being a slightly shy toddler to a chatty, sociable little boy who would proudly tell us about his day — the songs they sang, the games they played, the stories she read with all the funny voices. She nurtured his development so beautifully: encouraging his milestones with patience and celebration, supporting his speech and language through constant conversation and play, and helping him learn important skills like sharing, empathy, and independence at his own gentle pace. He learned to love books because of the cosy reading corners she created, discovered the joy of painting and crafting with her creative activities, and built physical confidence through the safe outdoor play she provided.

What touched me most was how well she truly knows him. She noticed the little things that only someone who cares deeply would see — when he was coming down with a cold before we even realised, his favourite way to be comforted during a tricky moment, or the exact song that would make him light up and dance. On days when he felt a bit unsettled or missed me, she would send the most reassuring photos and messages that eased my heart instantly. She celebrated every tiny achievement as if he were her own. That level of emotional investment is rare and incredibly precious.

Our precious Auntie DD brought such creativity and thoughtfulness to every day. She planned activities around the seasons, incorporated his interests into learning, and made sure every child in her care felt special and seen. Her home was always calm yet full of life, clean and safe, but never sterile — it was a place where children could explore, make mess, laugh loudly, and feel completely free to be themselves. Her communication was outstanding: detailed updates, photos that captured genuine moments of joy, and honest, caring conversations about his progress and any worries. She worked in true partnership and always respecting our wishes while offering her gentle, experienced guidance.
Leaving my son with her each morning became one of the easiest parts of my day because I knew, without a shadow of doubt, that he was loved, protected, stimulated, and happy. She gave us the priceless gift of peace of mind so I could focus on work, knowing my most treasured little person was not just “cared for,” but truly cherished.

As we now move on to the next chapter, our hearts are full of gratitude mixed with sadness at saying goodbye. Durrey has left an indelible mark on our son’s early years and on my family forever. She helped shape him into the bright, affectionate, confident boy he is today, and we will always speak of her with love and admiration.
If you are a parent searching for someone to entrust with your child’s heart and happiness, stop looking. Durrey is that rare person who pours her whole soul into the children she cares for. She is professional, experienced, warm, patient, and endlessly kind. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Miracle worker through unconditional love!

I took my daughter over the summer school break in preparation for reception. She wasn’t your typical “fussy eater”, she would eat just 3 things! Durrey would spent an hour and 30 minutes on the dinner table making sure she picks up food again and now I love seen her face when she enjoys any meal I prepared! We meant to only take my little one during school holidays but after the 6 weeks we did a 180’ and register her daily after school and the relationship she’s built with her peers and Durrey has me in awe! If you’re in the area, there is nothing to consider! And if you’re a bit further, like I am, do make the trip, your child will thank you one day!

Best Childminder in the area

My son utilizes Durreys child care services during school holidays he is a six year old boy that never ate vegetables and was such a fussy eater . Since joining puddle ducks childcare he’s taste buds have enhanced thanks to Durreys lovely cooking skills he eats vegetables and drinks Milk even his skin looks alot better. His vocabulary has improved and thanks to the curriculum his knowledge has grown. They learn about so many different topics at Durreys e.g the solar system, how to grow herbs, flowers the importance of plants and trees. His behavior and mannerisms have also improved. Most importantly Durrey is such a lovely kind patient and caring person who looks after not only the children but cares about us as the parents too. This is the best childcare setting I have experienced and I can go to work with ease knowing my son is in loving capable hands. Thank you Durrey for all you do for us🤩

The best around! Highly recommended!!

Our son has been with Durrey since he was 20 months old; at the time he was speaking very little, always with a dummy and wobbly on his feet. Durrey has done an incredible job in every aspect and helped mould our son into an articulate, kind and confident young lad. Her dedication to not just childcare but child development is second-to-none.
Not only this, Durrey is unwaveringly kind, committed and compassionate.

A big thing with childcare (for parents at least) is trust, and I would trust Durrey in any situation any day of the week, and twice on Sunday. Not only has she supported our son but also ourselves as young parents. Her facilities are outstanding, with even more being added what seems like every week! If you need any further proof, her twins are a shining example of what she can do!

Durrey is an amazing cook, making homemade from-scratch food that you’ll be jealous of your kids for!

If we were in a different situation we would be with Durrey until school. Our boy talks about Durrey all the time, and is upset to be leaving.

We can’t recommend Durrey enough!

The best childcare provider in this area...

Dear parents...
My son started with Miss Durrey in January 2024. At that time, he could only say two or three words in English, as our first language is our mother tongue. I was truly amazed at how quickly he progressed. His confidence grew so much he started speaking more, singing, writing his name, and even expressing himself more at home.
Miss Durrey is an incredibly passionate, caring, and dedicated childcare provider. She kept us updated regularly with WhatsApp messages and pictures, and she always supported my son with reading books, encouraging his learning every step of the way. Her creativity in teaching is outstanding, and her curriculum was remarkable. The monthly newsletters kept us well informed, and it was clear how much thought and effort she put into every child’s development.

I highly recommend Miss Durrey to any parent looking for exceptional childcare. She is truly amazing at what she does.

Unwavering Passion for Early Child education

Our daughter has truly developed since she has been with Durrey. Her speech has improved greatly and her social skills have developed. Durrey paid attention to the individual needs of our child and have tried to meet those needs. What sets her apart is the passion for child development which you can instantly see once you meet. Her Setup is truly thoughtful towards helping the children develop properly. She is doing a fantastic job.

Our lovely aunty dd

Durrey is the most wonderful, kind hearted, compassionate human being you will ever meet. Durrey has been looking after my daughter since September 2023 and I only have good things to say about her, she is consistent, her setting is always clean and warm and inviting. She figured out my daughters needs within a few weeks and she was not wrong. She understands the hearts and needs of every child in her setting. When I drop my little one off to her I see all the smiley happy children. My own daughter is so happy at the setting she asks to go in even on her days off and in the holidays and my daughter is a very fussy and a hard child to please, to the extent that she even has a cold shoulder towards extended cousins In the family but not with durrey. She says she loves durrey and that for any mother/parent is everything. My daughter is always clean when she returns from the setting and is fed. She always says I have eaten I'm not hungry. Durrey has been able to convince my picky little eater to try new foods and vegetables and I couldn't be more happy. She is now open to try new foods and will try most foods.
My daughter has a medical condition which I informed durrey about, instantly durrey worked with me to ensure imaan was drinking plenty of fluids and has made an effort to get her ready for her medical examinations.
I have been to a few childminders and also big named nurseries and I can say from everyone I've been too durreys care and compassion and nurturing environment is truly outstanding.
My eldest daughter is in school attending reception and has only just learnt how to write her name but at durreys my youngest child has already wrote her name and she's only 3!
Durrey doesn't just teach the children about the educational syllabus but she teaches them about the world, the environment, the seasons and teaches them to be curious about the world.
I would recommend every parent to send their child to durreys and I promise you will see your child grow and bloom.

My son who is 2 went to Durrey setting, for 2 years she is kind passionate creative patient thoughtful and very knowledgeable, my son really enjoyed going to Durrey setting, he struggled a lot with Motor skills, but Durrey had lovely activities and supported him passionately, she also works with Montessori materials my son brought beautiful art creativity home, lovely garden and always encouraged healthy eating,we will miss her immensely she was a great childminder my son is starting reception

Durrey is a kind, considerate and organised childminder. I feel content and pleased knowing I'm leaving my daughter in a safe and nurturing environment where she is taken care of and is developing too. Durrey is flexible and well informed and has the skills and qualifications that support her role my daughter didn’t speak much but when I sent her to Durrey’s she was singing talking 3 words sentences and slowly made relationships with other peers at the setting, Durrey brings in amazing creativity at her setting and my daughter always brought lovely art work we will miss Durrey but we are moving house further away we will always be grateful for her support through speech and lovely activities that my daughter brought home.

Fantastic, honestly no regrets

I had an amazing experience with Zeb, i was really worried whether i had made a good decision as it was my first time booking for a babysitter. She was really friendly and polite kept me reassured at all times, made me feel comfortable and very welcoming.
Her nursery setting was very colourful and had plenty of activities for my child to do indoors and outdoors.
My son enjoyed his time with her and she did lots of activities with him such as painting, colouring, water play, outdoor activities and singing and dancing.
She was super helpful by encouraging and taking my son regularly to the toilet helping me with his needs, she kept me well informed and updated me throughout the whole time my child was with her, which made me feel relaxed and happy knowing what my child was up to and that he was comfortable and happy with her. Also a big thankyou to her two beautiful girls who were very welcoming and kind with my child and spent time to play with him and made him feel comfortable.
She was interested in what my child liked and what his favourites food were just to make sure he had a great time with her, she gave him plenty to eat and drink and really looked after him well that i have no concerns, he thoroughly enjoyed himself and was eager to go back to her with no complaints over the 3 days she took care of him.
Over all i had a fantastic experience and would recommend her to all parents and if i ever need a babysitter again i would not hesitate to book again.

Best in the Area.

There are many factor to consider when selecting child care provider.Durey zeb is the most excellent a d efficent childminder my first daughter been there and now my son is also going to her chold care . I think its the best childminder in the area. She is taking care of the child at end level even she is bringing gifts for them on his birthdays. I wanted her to have my kids teacher for life time but unfortunately it can't be done.

Absolutely amazing

I have known Mrs Durrey Shewar for almost 5 years. She was my daughters childminder for 2 days of the week whilst she attending school.

I would describe her work ethic as very good, both in theory and practice. She attained a high level of standard, kept my daughter engaged in her education (EYFC ), would listen to her needs and be in tune with her feelings as well as using play to advance her learning. For example , they would do crafts, make cards, bake muffins, play with soft toys and so on. All these activities were documented in a folder with a photo and a statement talking about how she got on and felt overall. Occasionally I was provided with a photo to take home as a memory of the tasks she has successfully done while in the service of Mrs Durrey.

The house setting also has a wide variety of tools and equipment that enables a child to successfully develop and reach new milestones both physically and emotionally. For example the outdoor area contains a trampoline, slide, bikes and few other items that are good for the summer months, encouraging both physical exercise and fresh air.
The indoor area is well kept, very hygienic, with areas for colouring, reading, or playing and much more.

Mrs Durrey Clearly shows passion for young children and my daughter loved coming to her house. I really felt like she cared about her, would go the extra mile, and displayed effective parents childminder relationship. By that I mean, she thoroughly communicated what the activities makaykah had done during the day, what she ate, toilet needs etc (feedback).

My daughter now is in full time school but always talks about “Aunty Durrey” and her daughters and play mates.

Before she left a folder was created by Mrs durrey containing all her work and targets she has achieved in terms of the EYFC guideline. I was very happy with her attainment.

Finally I feel Mrs durreys montessori qualification makes her very knowledgeable and adaptable to the changes that can arise from the curriculum over time.

Simply the best childminder

My little boys started going here a couple of months ago. I was utterly amazed how quickly they settled. 
There are always so many varied activities Practical life and some Montessori Which really helps engage the children and keep them interested. The staff are lovely and they interact so calmly with the children, in fact it’s a lovely calm environment.Durrey is very insightful on nurturing children and allowing each child to thrive no matter their personality or age.

The best experience ever

We feel very lucky to have met Durrey . She has taken care of both our children aged 2 half and 2 Durrey is very honest, trustworthy and reliable. She provides excellent facilities. Her play area in the garden is particularly impressive She is also very pro active with providing outdoor activities and visits to local play groups, library's etc. She has always made us feel at ease as parents and provided excellent childcare for our children. The children are extremely fond of her and I would highly recommend her.

Engaging, inclusive and dedicated

My son’s been with Durrey since he was 4 he’s now 9 and won’t go anywhere else. She’s now family which says it all really. He’s learned about different cultures, eat vegetables he certainly doesn’t eat at home, cook, clean up after himself. There’s no anxiety with handing my child over to her care

Worked well with my child

Durrey helped my child settle in her setting, I felt comfortable leaving my child with her and my child learnt a lot at her setting. I felt as my child gained confidence and a lot of knowledge in the year she spent with Durrey.
