Amazing!

My daughter absolutely loves going to Pennys. And when she's not at Pennys, she talks about going to Pennys! She has come on in leaps and bounds and formed so many wonderful friendships. Penny will always go the extra mile to help where she can, which is appreciated more than ever as a single working parent. I couldnt of chosen a better setting!

Excellent childminder

Penny is passionate, reliable, loving, caring, very thoughtful and honest. Her communication and organisation skills are second to none and this is essential when you have a very busy life.
She is always updating her setting, finding new ways to teach though play, organising amazing days out, all without loosing focus on every child’s age and need.
My husband and I are extremely grateful to Penny for looking after our children for the past 4 years all together, because above all, we know that when Thomas and Sofia are in her care, they are loved and safe and as parents we cannot ask for more.

Best Childminder!

Our Daughter - Nelly has been with Penny for the last 2 and a half years.
From the get go Penny has treated Nelly like one of her own, as she does all the children in her setting!
We was anxious to send Nelly into childcare with Nelly having hyper mobility We was concerned she’d be pushed into meeting milestones when she was already delayed in crawling and walking, Penny listened to us and worked with us to ensure Nelly was supported.
Penny’s communication with us has been outstanding, we’ve been reassured from the very first day and sends updates during the days on how Nelly has been.
As parents we are privileged to have found an AMAZING childminder like Penny! Penny ensures the children always have fun and takes them on fun days out as well as home from home activities.
As Nelly approaches her final weeks with Penny we cannot thank her enough for all the support and learning she has given to Nelly which she will carry with her as she starts school! We know Nelly will miss Penny as will we! Penny is an amazing childminder and I’d recommend her to anyone who asks!

The best of the best!

Our son has been with Penny since he was around 9.5 months old and is just about to turn 3 now. From the get go, Penny listened to me as an anxious first time mum, reassured me and from day one has treated Alfie like her own. Alfie is super sensitive and shy and Penny has put so much work in to bring him out of his shell - watching his confidence grow from being in her care is just incredible. Penny’s communication is second to none, and she’s always there to give reassurance even if it’s at a ridiculous hour of the night! Our son absolutely loves Penny and his friends in her setting, he regularly asks to go there on his days off. I couldn’t be more grateful for everything Penny has done in helping Alfie’s development, she’s an absolute angel and would recommend her to everyone. We’re so lucky and grateful to have found such an amazing childminder who our son adores, and that we adore too. If you’re looking for a fun, creative and outdoorsy childminder who loves and nurtures your child as if they’re her own, who teaches your child amazing life skills, manners and good values, don’t look any further!

Beyond grateful.

We honestly couldn’t recommend Penny enough! She has looked after our daughter, Delilah, for almost a year now, and she has been absolutely amazing.

From the very beginning, Delilah has loved going, and it’s been so lovely to watch her grow in confidence and learn so many new things. One of our favourite things is that the children spend so much time outdoors exploring, playing, and learning instead of being stuck inside all day. The setting is beautiful, and you can tell how much thought and care Penny puts into everything she does.

Penny is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about what she does, but what really stands out is how much she genuinely cares about every child and their family. She treats the children like they’re her own, and it’s so reassuring knowing Delilah is somewhere she is happy, safe, and loved.

We’re so grateful to have found Penny. She has become such an important part of Delilah’s early years, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, fun, and dedicated childminder.

The best childminder ever

My child has been coming to Penny for 7 months now and I’m so happy we found someone myself, my husband and our son instantly got on with! My son had never been left with a family member for longer than 1 hour prior to him starting day care due to my anxiety and soon as he started I felt at ease with the constant communication you get from Penny. Penny listened to Charlie’s routines and would implement everything we told her to ensure Charlie’s rountine didn’t change much. Charlie loves Penny so much and it’s amazing to see how much he has developed since being there. I wouldn’t ever want anyone else to look after him. We wouldn’t change a thing. We’re so happy that we’ve already asked for a place for baby number 2 and we’re not even pregnant due to Penny being so fully booked due to her being the best!

The BEST!

My daughter has been with Penny for over 2 years now. I was really nervous about leaving my first baby with someone but Penny made me feel so comfortable as soon as I met her. I knew straight away she was the one for us after looking around other places beforehand. I loved that the setting was in a cabin, its such a lovely space! Full of toys and activities. There’s a separate play area outside too. Penny is so caring towards my daughter. She takes the children on all sorts of fun days out, she is very outdoorsy which I love and the children are constantly kept occupied. They also have lots of structured learning, my daughter has learnt so much from Penny. She tailors learning to each child and finds time to have one to one. She really does care for the children, even FaceTiming my daughter once to sing her a song she was asking for because I didn’t have a clue what she wanted! She really is amazing and such an influence on our daughter. Couldn’t of picked a better childminder. We will be sending our second daughter to Penny too when our daughter starts school, even though we have a moved a fair bit away now, wouldn’t send her anywhere else.

Simply wonderful !!

I’d never look at another nursery again!!
As a mother of 3 I’ve always used nurseries and thought I’d explore a childminder for my little girl as she was a lockdown baby! I’m
so glad I did penny is as close to Mary poppins as Lincoln’s going to get !! My little girl felt at home the minute she stepped in the cabin!! Beatrix has non stop fun from going on outings to the farm, woods to crafts messy play. My little girl is thriving thanks to penny and her talking and good behaviour is absolutely down to the setting she is in. Beatrix enjoys playing with the other children and attending various groups. Highly recommended !!!

Look no further!

I just asked my children how they would describe Penny, and they immediately asked "Can we go today?!"

We initially needed some childcare at short notice, and Penny was very flexible in accommodating us. Though the kids were a bit apprehensive first, Penny did all she could to connect with them, which obviously succeeded. She caters for every child's individual needs, whilst making sure that all kids are properly looked after. Her no-nonsense approach appears to work very well.

What we highly appreciate is the fact that she is very proactive in entertaining the children with visits to various playgrounds and attractions in the area, meet-ups with other childminders and their children for playdates, and the generally high level of activity. There is no opportunity for the children to become bored, plenty of toys and games are available for free play, and Penny always has something up her sleeve to occupy even the most fussy kid.

The setting with the dedicated cabin and outside play area is great, and easily accessible by car or foot. If you live in the uphill area of Lincoln, St. George's, or even the West End, and are looking for a childminder, look no further!

Excellent childminder

We found Penny after having to seek alternative childcare during lockdown. Our little boy was almost 15 months old and had no opportunity for settling in days, he was thrown straight into the deep end. Despite the difficult circumstances Penny's warm, loving and caring nature helped him to settle in quickly.

Penny's setting is great for little ones, lots of educational toys and she has a lovely outside space which is frequently used. Our little boy loves being outside so this aspect was particularly important to us. Even through the constraints Covid placed upon her Penny still took the children out to the park on numerous occasions as soon as restrictions were lifted, keeping them entertained and happy throughout a challenging time. All the children in her care are well mannered and she supports and encourages children to thrive.

Our little boy blossomed, and came on in leaps and bounds developmentally in the short space of time he was in Penny's care. He developed a lovely bond with her and we would have loved him to stay there, but logistically when things started to get back to normal it would've been impossible for us to get him there and back with our normal working hours.

We would not hesitate to recommend Penny to anyone who is looking for childcare. She was an absolute Godsend for us in very difficult times, is a pleasure to deal with and has looked after our little boy like he was her own. We cannot thank her enough for all she has done for us and Barney.

Home from home

Penny has looked after my son since he was 10 months old and he is now four and about to enter full time education. We couldn't of asked for a better setting for him to flourish, with Penny's exceptional care he has become a happy ands confident boy ready for school. She has provided us with a safe and happy environment full of wonderful and exciting opportunities for fun and learning. I know Penny has been a brilliant influence in our sons life providing more love and care than I would ever of expected.

Excellent Childcare

Penny has done a fantastic job of looking after our little girl Mia for the last 2 years. She helped her development and her confidence has come on so much & I couldn’t be any more grateful. Mia is always excited to go to Penny , there is many activities and day trips which makes our little girl very happy.
The place is very well organised and very clean.

Couldn't ask for a better child minder!

Penny has been my daughter, Izzy's, childminder since January 2020 and before this I had always relied on afterschool clubs etc, I was a little worried about how the change of routine would affect Izzy but Penny's care, attention and homelike environment really supported this transition. I could not believe the change in Izzy, as before when I would collect her from school clubs she was tired, grumpy and hyper meaning we would have challenging and stressful evenings; since going to Penny my child is much more settled and relaxed and that has really altered the time we have together in the evenings.
Penny understands Izzy and is always conscious to make sure that they activities they do together are interesting and exciting, as Izzy is slightly older than some of the other children I know that it is really important to her to feel included, which she certainly does. Penny encourages Izzy's independence and as a parent, I really value that Penny maintains the same boundaries that we have at home.
Izzy really enjoys the time she spends with Penny and every day when I arrive they are having a joke and playing a game, I also really appreciate the conversations I have with Penny daily and the reassurance that my daughter is being cared for and well looked after.

I genuinely wish I had started using Penny as a childminder years ago and am so grateful for the care and attention Izzy receives, Thank you Penny!!

Still searching for a childminder as good!

I cannot praise Penny and Amy enough for the service they provided. I really felt like they were extended part of my family and they generally cared about the needs of my children and took the time to get to know our family. My 1 year old son grew from a shy clingy boy into a confident happy boy in the care of Amy and Penny. They were very interactive with the children, took them on regular days out and progressed my childrens learning. If we hadnt have moved out of Lincoln i can confidently say my children would have stayed with Penny for years. I am still looking for childcare that not only matches Pennys high standards but offers the same personal touch that we experienced. I would recommend Penny withought hesitation and am generally gutted she no longer cares for my children! She is amazing

Fantastic childminder !

Hi , when I was looking for a childminder to look after the most precious people in my life, my children it was the most daunting and anxious time in my life.
You want someone that will be loving ,caring and 100%trustworthy.
My two children went to Penny for nearly two years and settled in very well and loved going to her. My children enjoyed their time spent at penny's learning new things and playing with the other children.
Penny does exceptional work with the children from playing games, teaching , taking the children out to play groups.Penny gave my daughter the confidence she has now after starting nursery to play with other children so well.
My children are now moving up school years so unfortunately I no longer require her services but I'm very grateful to her for all that she has taught them.
My daughter still loves penny as when we see her at school she runs to her and holds her hand. Penny has become a great friend to our family.
I highly recommend Penny as a childminder she is very warm and welcoming ,easy to talk to and 100% trustworthy.

Outstanding!

My little girl, Neve was just 10 months old when Penny first started looking after her. It was an extremely anxious time having to find somebody who we trusted 100% to provide a safe, caring and fun environment whilst we were at work. I had been to meet a few childminders during this process but knew we had found the one when we met Penny.

Penny provided just what we wanted, a fun, safe and caring environment. Neve is now 3 years old and has grown into a beautiful, polite, bright and caring little girl, of which Penny has had a major influence on.

I have been particularly impressed with the range of activities and outings Penny provides, including attending local play groups on a weekly basis.

Neve has just left Penny now to attend pre-school and I have to say, a lot of tears were shed on her last day! We miss Penny a lot and Neve still talks about her and her family and the other children a lot.

Choosing somebody you trust to look after your child is one of the biggest decisions a parent will make but I can hand on heart recommend Penny 100% to do just that. She is an outstanding childminder with a lovely family as well!

Really happy...

I have two boys (7 and 3) and we have used the services of Penny for around 3 years. She creates a homely, caring and secure environment which was my priority when opting for a childminder. As a working mum it is always a worry to source excellent childcare but I would recommend Penny without hesitation. Both boys enjoy being in her home and I know, without doubt, they're receiving excellent care with the same boundaries we would set at home.

Everything you would want in a childminder!!!

My husband and I chose Penny as our childminder for our little girl Chloe, who is now almost 4. Chloe was Penny's first little one when she began her amazing journey childminding!!

Chloe was just 8 months old when she first started with Penny, and I returned to work. From the moment we met Penny in her home with her family, we knew instantly she was going to care for our daughter as if she were her own. It's an especially anxious time for any parent leaving their child with somebody different, but Penny made us all feel comfortable from the off, and Chloe loved her and being in her company and home. I can go to work with no worries at all.

A very clean and spacious environment for children to play, relax and learn in, with lots of fun. More than reasonable and competitive fees with a wide variety of food supplied if required.

Chloe still visits Penny, and always talks about her. We cannot give enough gratitude and thanks to Penny!! She is amazing at what she does, and we would not hesitate again in placing another child with Penny!! x x

A truly remarkable and outstanding childminder!!!

This lady currently looks after my little boy Jude who is 16 months old and he has been in Pennys care since he was 9 months old. Penny has also cared for my eldest son who is now at school.
Finding someone who you trust 100% with your children has to be the hardest task as a parent to do. As soon as I met penny I knew instantly that she was the lady I wanted my children to be cared by. She is a very kind and loving lady who loves and adores all of the children that are in her setting. Penny treats the children as her own which is something I have found very comforting, as being away from Jude 4 days a week I miss him like crazy and just want to know he is in the best possible care. When I collect Jude each day he comes home always smiling and happy. His personal book is always full of picturs or painting or craft that he has attempted to make! Penny is very pro active with the children....She is always taking them to play groups, or enjoying days out.
There are times when I have asked Penny to care for Jude for a few extra hours due to work commitments and she has always tried her best to accomodate Jude and be flexible, which has been a great help to me.

Overall I feel that Penny is an outstanding childminder, who without a doubt loves the children who are in her care dearly. I feel very lucky and blessed to have found such an amazing childminder who gives my child the best care any parent could wish for :)

Excellent, trustworthy and fun!

Penny has been more than my childminder over the last 2 years. I approached her when I seperated from my husband and needed a safe, reliable and trustworthy person to care for my daughter (who was just 5 at the time).
Penny has been nothing short of amazing in her approached. She provides me with more than peace of mind whilst I work. I often am travelling all over the country with my job and Penny has been reliable and understanding of what I do.
My daughter has the benefit of being part of a family environment (my biggest fear has always been she turns out to be spoilt only child!) and she has enjoyed and benefitted from a wife range of activities and outings.
I highly recommend Penny as as professional, friendly and genuinely caring childminder and tell regularly her my daughter shall stay with her till she is 30!
