Our little boy Amoz wakes up every morning asking for Lorraine! He loves spending time with her and with his friends. We love receiving photos of Amoz throughout the day so we can see what he is up to and we love his notebook with details of all the activities and personal improvements he does every week. Amoz is only speaking Spanish at the moment but Lorraine knows him very well and always makes sure he is getting what he needs. We are very grateful to have found her!!

I was so nervous about leaving my daughter with anybody else but she has really thrived under Lorraine’s care. We love all the activities and outside time that Lorraine provides, they’re always fun but educational. Another worry I had was our daughters dietary requirements but Lorraine has been more than accommodating, I couldn’t recommend her more.

I can’t recommend Lorraine enough, we are very fortunate to have found her. She provide a home from home, an outstanding level of care along with fun days out, a range of daily activities to engage the children and support their learning and development. There are so much for the kids to do, Lorraine never runs out of the ideas! Camilla settle in very quickly and absolutely loves coming in. If you are looking for the best childminders around then look no further❤️

My daughter started with Lorraine in May 2023 when she was 20 months old and this is one of the best decisions I made since I moved to Manchester.
I was quite impressed when we went to look around at Lorraine’s. She had this folder of documents and explained how she works to me in detail. And just the organisation of the room and the labels told me she knew what she was about. I am very pleased with my daughter’s progress, she picked up a lot of things quickly because of the older kids she met there.
Daily she takes them out and plans activities for them. She sends pictures to keep us updated and keeps a daily record of their activities in the notebook. I hardly have to ask anything because I’m up to speed with what’s going on. She also gives them healthy food to eat.
Lorraine is genuinely interested in early years learning and this shows in all the activities she plans for the kids, the outings, the toys, games and books. I cannot recommend her enough. It’s every parent’s wish to be at peace that your child is being properly cared for and I definitely get that with Lorraine. I have no regrets.

I had my son during lockdown due to this he had been with me constantly and we both were inseparable . I tried to get him into two different nursery’s and for months he just would not settle. I started to look online for a childminder and came across Lorraine and David. After getting in contact with Lorraine we arranged to have a look around. Straight away from meeting Lorraine I knew I wanted my little boy to attend. His first day came quickly I was anxious to be apart from my son while I went to work. On arrival I bumped in to another parent who assured me my son would be just fine and settle in. Of course the first day he was a little unsettled but I couldn’t thank Lorraine enough for keeping me updated via WhatsApp sending me photos and messages of how he was getting on. Within five minutes I received a picture of my son happily playing and settled. After day two of him attending Lorraine’s he started to run in without any problems. Since going to Lorraine’s and David’s my son has reached so many mile stones and has become such a clever boy. He came home counting and spelling words just to add my son wasn’t even two at this point. Lorraine takes the children out everyday and they engage in many activities indoor and out door. My son has gained so much confidence and knowledge I could not be happier. He now also ask to go to Lorraine’s on the days he doesn’t attend. I now advise any friends with children too look in to childminders as it has been an amazing experience for me as a first time mum. With him being so unsettled in the two nurseries before I could not believe how much he loves and wants to be at Lorraine’s and David’s.

We were incredibly nervous about our son as he hadn't settled in at nursey settling sessions. Lorraine took him in her stride and I feel he settled in within a matter of days and really put our minds at ease.
The activities they get up to and the places they go are fantastic, they get out every day, is exactly what we would be doing with our son and almost feels like an extension of our family. We get updates and pictures throughout the day and a diary at the end of the day of what they have been up to, eaten and how well they have slept.
I couldn't recommend Lorraine & David enough. They say everything happens for a reason and I feel our son didn't settle at nursey so we could find Lorraine x

My little girl (now 2), started with Lorraine and David in September 2020, during the pandemic. And as you can imagine I was very anxious for her to be leaving me as we had spent so much time together, but from the first moment meeting Lorraine to have a look around I knew she would be so happy and content.
Myself and my partner are so pleased with how well our little girl is doing, she is becoming such a well mannered, kind and happy little person and we honestly cannot thank Lorraine and David enough for all they have done to help and guide her. The activities and days out they do with the children daily are brilliant, and they spend so much time outdoors which we love. She is now learning pencil control, writing her name, recognising numbers (she loves her 'school work') And everything is communicated to us daily, with pictures sent to us and a learning journey diary which is written in every visit.
Plus if our little girl was doing this review she would also be saying how amazing the food is. Everything is freshly prepared and varied.
We're choosing not to put her in the pre-school in September, as she is very settled, made a lovely group of friends, and is advancing so well here.

Lorraine and David care for both our children. Our youngest is 2 and our eldest 7; she has been attending since she was 6 months old and still attends during the school holidays at her request… to us that speaks volumes! They have built amazing relationships with both Lorraine and David and they adore them. This is something as working parents, we find comfort in. Whilst at work our children are happy, well cared for in a “home from home” environment.
Both Lorraine and David are friendly, approachable and very professional. They take pride in the children they care for and this shows in the activities provided. From forrest school, visits to local parks, soft play centres, play groups, visits to museums and seasonal themed activities, to name just a few!
Our children love the activities and as parents we love the excellent communication we receive. Pictures are sent throughout the day and a daily diary is completed, this enables us to read through what the children have been doing, we can discuss their day with them and we feel involved.
Lorraine and David take special pride in the learning and development of our children following the EYFS framework. Our 7 year old has a very positive attitude to learning and we both feel this began in the positive learning environment provided whilst with David and Lorraine. Our 2 year old is currently working on pencil control and number recognition!
We cannot recommend Lorraine and David enough if you are looking for childminding services for your special little people!
Lorraine and David provide a caring, supportive “home from home” environment, one that both our children have thrived in!

My little girl has been going to Lorraine and David since she was 10 months old, she is now due to start school in September but, will continue to stay with Lorraine before and after school - (we had the option to take her to the before and after school club that the school provide but, I feel like they have developed a lovely bond and I want that to continue for as long as it can).
At first I was very nervous about returning to work and leaving her with people I didn’t really know! (It’s very scary picking people to look after your children off a website!!) However, both Lorraine and David were very welcoming and friendly – they offered settling in days/hours where I could take my baby for a couple of hours a week to get her ready for when I returned to work.
During her time in their care, my little girl has come on amazingly!! She was holding a pen correctly and writing her name before she was 3 years old! She has always been way above her milestones and I do hand on heart think that Lorraine and David have done the majority of this; they really are real life ‘Mary Poppins’.
Lorraine provides a daily record of what activities they do every day – this also includes ‘feeds’, ‘toileting’ and ‘sleeps’ (all very important when they are looking after your little one, and its everything a Mum and Dad want to know). She sends pictures throughout the day to show that they are having fun and learning something new – I always love seeing these and don’t feel like I’m missing out too much either as I can talk to my little girl when I pick her up about all the things she’s been doing!
I honestly cannot recommend this couple enough! If you are in the area and Lorraine has availability, book in for a chat and have a look for yourself, you will not be disappointed.

Lorraine & David have looked after both my children from being 6 months old. My eldest is now 9 and attends after school . Both of my girls love going to Lorraine and I am filled with confidence that they are getting the best care whilst I work. Lorraine teaches the children so much that when my youngest attended school she had already done all of the work set for reception. The Forrest school that they do is amazing and both kids thoroughly enjoy it. Lorraine was also very supportive when it came to potty training the girls. We would be lost with both Lorraine and David
