My son has been with Jackie for just over a year and a half. When we visited, I got such a warm, nurturing feel for her home setting.
Until my son was 3, Jackie wrote me a diary for each day he was with her, this was also an effective way to communicate.
Jackie still takes the time now, at pick up or drop off, to keep me informed of all areas whilst my son is with her. This includes, behaviour for example if my son has seemed under the weather or overly tired , progres, topics they are covering linked to the EYF, any concerns from myself or her.
My son oves going to Jackie's house, he always has, except from a few weeks when he started nursery and he became unsettled. Jackie was so good with him, working with me on how we could settle him, using visual timetables and reminding my son that after her house on a Tuesday he has nursery for the next 2 days. This still really helps him.
My son comes home and tells me so much about what he has learnt or done with Jackie, things that surprise me! Eg, the rain cycle, information on planets, recycling and looking after our planet, various holidays and festivals such as St Patrick's Day and Chinese New year.
My son comes home every week with beautiful craft and art that link to the topic, sometimes even home baking which is always a treat!
Another bonus of Jackie's is she always takes them on days out for fun but also covering the areas of the EYF framework. Throughout they year they visit squirrels in the park and my son knows about hibernation, caring for their babies. They go to soft play and the garden centre, castles, they have attended play groups, a weekly trip to the community allotment, walks along the beach, parks, The manston museum and grounds...never a dull moment!
Having myself got a background of 15+ years in education I am amazed at the progress my son has made while in Jackie's setting. He was able to write his name and hold his pencil correctly at just before his was 3, he knows all 2D and some 3D shapes, he can recognise numbers and count to 20. These are all things that he has managed way before his friends of the same age and I know its alot to do with Jackie's hard work and encouragement. When he could write his name, Jackie suggested we try with his surname, now he can count, she's expanding it so he can use simple maths, 'one more than, equals, one less than'. She is really good at furthering his development and progress with realistic goals.
I am so very happy we found Jackie, I knew what I was looking for in someone to nurture and help my child grow and Jackie ticks all the boxes. She is professional, kind, patient, fun and so very caring. We will miss her dearly when my son starts school in September but I am so assured that thanks to his time with Jackie he is more than ready to move on to his next chapter in life.

My daughter started attending jackie when she was around 18 months, i knew from the start that she was going to love attending.
Jackie takes the children to the park, allotment, museum, zoo, indoor play area’s and many other places as well as having a brilliant set out in her home for the children to enjoy with lots of books, learning resources and educational toys. Jackie really does take pride in her job and cares and loves your children highly. She always lets you know anything you want to know, keeps you updated with your child’s progress. My daughter was a little bit behind with her numbers, Jackie made her a little number game sheet to take home and within no time she grasped the numbers. My daughter always comes home with lovely things they have made weather it be stuff they have cooked or lovely paintings and pictures! It has sadly come to the time where i have had to apply for my daughter to go to primary school, which means she will be leaving Jackie's placement. Honestly if your looking for a lovely childminder that you want your child to feel happy and loved at Jackie is the childminder for you. My daughter will truly miss Jackie, her family and her little friends she has made ❣️

I first became aware of Jackie many years ago when I was looking for someone to have my eldest daughter after school. I remembered thinking this lady is different from the rest, she seems to go above and beyond and observing her with the babies and the preschool aged children she cared for at time it was so reassuring to see how much she really cared for the children she looked after. Sadly my eldest daughter got older and the need for school pick ups ended.
Winding forward to the here and now I was blessed with having my second daughter in 2018. I said to my husband when my youngest daughter was about 8 weeks old, "if Jackie can't have her I'm not going back to work" . Lucky for us Jackie had a child leaving to start school so she would have a space. My daughter started with Jackie in August 2019 and it was then that I realised just how amazing this lady is. Jackie really does put that extra special effort in to everything she does. My daughter absolutely loves going to Jackie's and has right from the very first day. Jackie has such an amazing way of making vital everyday learning fun and it's really easy to see that all the children in her care absolutely adore her.
Jackie makes sure that the children in her care get all the funder mentally important skills required for not only the transition to school but for life in general. My daughters days have been filled with age appropriate activities which encourage and support her learning and boost her self confidence.
Jackie likes to make sure that the children get out and explore the world around them and she recognises the importance of socialising. My daughters days are filled with days out to the allotment, garden centres, library, Manston museum, the beach, castles, zoos, parks the list goes on. When the children aren't out exploring Jackie has an amazing area within her house that's been made specially for the children to play in a safe environment, it is here that Jackie also teaches the children maths skills, number work and activities that promote hand eye coordination and much more. Jackie also has a lovely safe outside garden space where the children can enjoy the fresh air with a variety of outside activities including bikes, trampoline, water play and again much more.
During the covid-19 pandemic when it was at its worst Jackie went to an even higher standard of childcare. Jackie worked like myself and many other keyworkers through the whole pandemic. Jackie implemented robust safety measures to keep the children she looked after and their families safe. Jackie implemented doorstop drop offs, only one family in the grounds of her house at a time, hand sanitiser was provided upon entrance and I also know that Jackie implented a very robust cleaning regime within her own home every evening and morning. There were even times when we were allowed to see family again Jackie made some difficult decisions again to keep the children she looked after safe.
To finish up, I am so incredibly sad that my daughter is coming to a time where she will be starting primary school and leaving Jackies but I can honestly say to anyone reading this, you will not find a childminder that gives as much as Jackie. If you are choosing a childminder because you want that home from home experience or you want your children out exploring and learning whilst having fun and not in front of TV or electronic devices or your looking for someone who will care and love for your children as much you do then Jackie really is the childminder you are looking for.

Our son Oliver has been with Jackie since he was 6 months old he is now coming up to 4yrs. And I cant express how much he loves Jackie and has turned into a lively little boy.
She does all educational activities, outings, walks, nature plus home crafty activity.
He is so very happy with her and quite frankly I never want to lose her, she is just perfect.
My husband and I work full time and we drop Oliver knowing he is perfectly happy and safe.
Jackie's family are part of ours know....
100% better care and focus and support than we would have got from any nursery.

My son Ronnie has been with Jackie since he was 10 months old and he will soon be 4. As soon as I met jackie I was confident that I was making the right decision as I had been unecided between a nursery or chidminding setting.
Jackie is devoted to the children in her care and my son has thrived with her. She reinforces all the good values we try to teach our children including politeness, good hygiene and independence. Her house is clean and tidy, and always feels calm and safe. The dogs are a pleasure and a real asset, my son loves playing with them and learning about caring for, and respecting, animals.
Jackie has worked with me throughout to ensure that Ronnie's needs are met and she has always been flexible in the way she delivers support and education, playing to his strengths.
Jackie always keeps regular contact with me, both verbally and in the form of a daily diary, so that I know what Ronnie has been doing. She provides a huge variety of daily activities and outings, and she always ensures the children get outside for fresh air and exercise.
She provides healthy snacks and encourages children to be independent with eating where appropriate. Jackie also cooks with the children, teaching them where their food comes from and fostering an appreciation of a wide variety of foods and flavours.
Ronnie loves going to Jackie's and it's a battle to get him to come home with me most evenings! I'm so grateful for her support and friendship over the last 3 years.

Jackie has looked after my daughter since she was one years old. She had previously looked after my son, so I was familiar with her childcare routines and care. Three and a half years on, we are still delighted with our childminder and would thoroughly recommend Jackie to anyone with young children.
Both my children have thrived in her home environment and the amount of ‘out of home’ activities and trips that she takes the children on is fantastic. Both were fully prepared for starting school and were confident and knowledgeable.
I chose not to mix childcare with my daughter as I had done with my son originally (with 2 days at Jackie’s and 2 days at a local nursery). This was because I did not feel a nursery setting could offer my daughter the varied days and experiences that Jackie offers on a daily basis. I could not fault the nursery that she perhaps would have attended but I have been delighted with the activities and learning that my daughter has undertaken with Jackie - assisting her in being a bright confident girl who started school last month.
Her home is beautiful and clean in a quiet setting near to the local beach. She has a vast amount of books, toys and learning apparatus that would benefit children of all ages. She keeps you up to date with their days in their diaries so you know exactly what happens day to day including what they eat.
Jackie provides a home from home environment and I could not recommend her enough.

Jackie has looked after my little girl since she was 9 months old, being a new mum I was always worried who I was going to leave my little girl with while I go back to work. I’ve visited loads of other Childminder’s before Jackie and I didn’t ever get the feeling that I could leave my hole life in their hands, when I first met Jackie I had such a warm and wonderful feeling from her straight away she was so helpful and absolutely amazing with my little girl, I knew straight away I wanted her to look after my little one. Esmay will sadly be leaving Jackie’s this months due to us moving away and we are completely gutted and heartbroken to, Esmay has learnt so much from her. Leaving your child at such a young age you always worry what if they didn’t get the right attention or the right care but Jackie gave Esmay 110%! I couldn’t fault her in any way at all. She has helped Esmay grow into this perfect smart little girl where she has learnt so much from Jackie. Jackie is always honest, helpful and so reliable you couldn’t ever find a better childminder like her thank you so much Jackie for everything you have done for us as a family and for Esmay xxx

Having been convinced a well established Ofsted outstanding nursery would be the right choice for childcare for my one year old son Ethan, I was intrigued by a friend's recommendation about Jackie, a childminder local to our area. Prior to Ethan starting his nursery placement I contacted Jackie and arranged a meeting. I was shocked at how my already 'made up mind' was changed almost immediately upon meeting her at her lovely home. The nursery placement was cancelled and I was 100 % confident that my son would be best placed with Jackie whilst I worked full time.
Jackie is a lovely, kind and professional childminder. My son has been looked after by Jackie for four days a week for the past 3 years and our daughter for the past year (she is now 2 years old). It is wonderful to know that they have the best possible care whilst I am at work. Jackie is the most caring person I could ever wish to meet and my children both love her ("lots and lots and lots" as my son says!).
Her home is fantastically equipped with a huge variety of toys, activities, (educational and fun), and there is a beautiful garden for the children to play in. Her home is immaculate and and provides a real home from home feel for your child.
The variety of activities that Jackie does with the children is far more varied than any nursery could offer my children, with regular trips to the beach, gardens, library, local museum, toddlers groups, soft play, the spitfire museum, farms, and even swimming occasionally. The list goes on and on...
My children's' days are structured in a way that puts them in a fantastic routine, similar to their home life. Reading, writing, colouring and arts and crafts are encouraged on a daily basis and as a consequence I have been able to see both children thrive in Jackie's care.
Good manners, cleanliness and independence, are all encouraged by Jackie and this is something that is invaluable.
Jackie provides a daily diary detailing exactly what my children have done that day and when, which is lovely to read, so you can get a full picture of what they have been up to. Checks are completed on their development and if there are areas that need more support Jackie identifies that and is able to assist where needed along with the support from ourselves. Photographs are taken for their progress folders and it is wonderful to see how happy they are and how much they are enjoying their days with Jackie.
Jackie is a fantastic childminder. I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. I consider her as one of the family and am grateful for all her help and hard work with my children.

Choosing a Childminder for our son, James, was one of the most important decisions we have ever made. When we first met Jackie we knew instantly that she was the right person.
James was eight months old when Jackie started caring for him. He is now due to start school in September.
As soon as we walked into Jackie's beautiful home we knew she was child centred. Her home is always welcoming, clean and well organised. She provides a creative, fun, happy, safe and secure environment for all the children she cares for.
Jackie's commitment and enthusiasm for the children's entertainment and education is outstanding. There are lots of activities on offer, both inside the home and outside and we are impressed with the wide variety of resources and toys available. The children regularly complete projects for special events/occasions throughout the year, such as Chinese New Year, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, National Days, Halloween and Christmas. There are always activities taking place in Jackie's home - reading stories, painting, drawing, baking, crafting, or some other creative activity.
Jackie ensures that there are plenty of opportunities for the children to socialise with other children by attending toddler groups, a community allotment and soft play centres. She also regularly takes the children to playgrounds, local beaches, libraries, museums and trips to visit animals and feed the ducks.
Jackie is always thinking of fun and creative activities to stimulate the children's development and provides them with fantastic access to the EYFS curriculum, which is standing James in good stead for school.
Jackie is fully committed to working with us to ensure James meets his developmental milestones and has been a great support through milestones such as potty training and starting pre-school. Jackie provided detailed information to his new carers of his development and continues to work in partnership with them.
She is a great communicator and completes a diary detailing what James has done each day. From this we have a complete picture of his whole day, which helps us feel involved.
Jackie provides well balanced snacks for the children during the day.
She has a really lovely, warm and caring approach, is very reliable and attentive to detail.
James has thrived in Jackie's care. He is noted by others as being a happy, confident and polite child and Jackie has been instrumental in his development.
James loves going to Jackie's and talks so fondly of her and her family. We describe her as our very own Mary Poppins and will be eternally grateful for the love and care that she has shown James.
We are very lucky that Jackie will continue to be involved in James' care once he goes to school, as we really do consider her an extended member of our family.
We would absolutely recommend Jackie without hesitation as a great and reliable Childminder.

Jackie looked after my son, Milo, for 2 days a week for 2 years. From the age of 2 to 4. He absolutely loved his days at Jackie's and would often ask when waking up if the day was a Jackie day and was often sad when informed it wasn't.
Jackie not only provided a safe, well-rounded environment at home for Milo to flourish in, she would also take him on outings regularly to toddler groups and other visits to a variety of child friendly places.
Milo is only leaving as he is starting school next week. He formed such a fab relationship with Jackie and her family and Jackie really helped to give Milo that home away from home feel.
When Milo left she gave us a folder containing pictures and observations of many things Milo did in the two years he was there and me and my partner were so happy with the activities/outings he had access to.
I would highly recommend Jackie as a childminder if you are looking to provide your child with a more personal form of childcare that feels more like a home from home rather than a nursery.
Milo is very sad to be leaving.
