Caring and Loving Environment

We feel incredibly lucky to have found Nyssa. From the very first day, it was clear that she brings the best of both worlds: the warmth and instinct of a naturally caring person, and the skill and confidence that come from years of teaching. She has that rare mix of being genuinely fun, positive and full of energy, while also creating a calm, predictable routine that helps children feel safe.

Her teaching background makes such a difference — she spots little learning moments, gently encourages independence, and always seems to know exactly what each child needs. You can see how much thought she puts into their day, but it never feels forced or formal; it just feels like a really happy, nurturing home where children thrive.

What stands out most is how much she genuinely cares. She notices the small things, celebrates their progress, and treats every child with patience, kindness and respect. We trust her completely, and our child absolutely adores her. She’s exceptional at what she does because it’s so clearly who she is.

Fantastic childminder

Nyssa is the most wonderful, nurturing childminder to our two children. She is so dedicated to the children that she looks after as shown through the thoughtful routines, meals, creative tasks, nature activities, outdoor pursuits, phonics and maths sessions (to name a few!) that she puts together every day for them.
Our youngest has come on so much in their first year with Nyssa and particularly enjoys scooting, climbing, running, name writing, counting and reading stories together with the other children in the setting.
At pick up time the kids always leave with smiles on their faces!
Nyssa communicates quickly with us and shares wonderful photos and videos every day. We are so happy for our children to go to Nyssa and are wholeheartedly grateful that they get to thrive in a small setting instead of at a nursery.

Super Amazing, organised childminder

Nyssa was amazing with my baby boy. From the first time I met her she made my baby and I feel at home.

She took time to understand my parenting style and went out her way to ensure my baby felt comfortable and got some sleep.

She is amazing when it comes to communication. She is detailed oriented and organized. Her home is always super clean. I loved how she would plan the different out door activities and always informed us ahead of time.

As a person she is so warm and always smiling.

She has a special gift of taking care of children.

So lucky to have found you!

Nyssa provides exceptional care to our boy. We were a little tentative at first as it’s our first child but we felt immediately at ease in Nyssa’s company. After a couple of emotional drop offs, he now goes crawling off into the house as soon as he’s dropped off ready for one of the many adventures they go on, the zoo, farm and park to name a few. The photo and video updates are wonderful to get during your working day and you feel like you have been part of it. We can’t recommend her enough, we feel very fortunate that she’s part of our son’s life.

The most wonderful childminder!

Nyssa has been an outstanding childminder to our little one for the past two years and I can’t recommend her setting highly enough.
Her approach is relaxed and inclusive which was so re-assuring to us as first-time parents leaving our tot with someone new after maternity leave ended.
She took the time to ask questions about our child’s likes/dislikes and was really flexible to accommodate nap locations and schedules.
We love receiving the photo and video updates throughout the day which demonstrate the wonderful range of activities, meals and local outings Nyssa carefully plans for the children.
Nyssa maintains a happy, welcoming and nurturing setting with an emphasis on learning through play, but also enforces boundaries without being strict.
We are sad to leave Leaping Loves but our child has had such a good grounding here so is now ready for pre-school.

A kind, caring and nurturing childminder

As with many mums, returning to work after my first mat-leave was a worrying  prospect. Nyssa went to great lengths to ensure my baby girl had a long settling in timetable drawn up to introduce her to the other children, and I now realise to reassure me at just how safe an environment she would be in. By the time my first day came I didn't have to worry one bit and could focus on work.

Nyssa has become one of the few trusted people that my daughter is truly at ease with, and that is a testament to the calm and considered approach Nyssa takes with all her children. She never raises her voice, has a calm and positive approach to each activity and provides all the cuddles a little one needs to reassure them that it's all okay.
The activities are fun, safe and have a world focus (the number of insects, animals and vegetables my daughter has been introduced to delights me weekly) and with Italian being spoken in the house I know my daughter's understanding of sound, speech and music will be growing at a greater rate than I could achieve on my own).
The food is nutritious, the drinks are healthy, the naps are peaceful and the adventures are great.
I recommend Nyssa 100%.
