A Second Mum to Our Daughter

Sohaila cared for our daughter, Zoya, with so much love, patience, and dedication that she truly became like a second mum to her. She supported Zoya through important developmental milestones, encouraged her learning, and gave us complete peace of mind as first-time parents.
As first-time parents, we were very nervous about sending Zoya to a childminder when she was only 6–7 months old. At that stage, she could only sit and wasn't crawling yet. Zoya always took her own sweet time with milestones – she only started walking at around 19 months – but Sohaila was there every step of the way.
Sohaila looked after Zoya as if she were her own child. She patiently encouraged and supported her as she learned to crawl and later take her first steps. Zoya absolutely adored Sohaila and Atifa – to the point where she would happily jump into Sohaila's arms at drop-off time.
Not only did Zoya thrive emotionally and physically in Sohaila's care, but she also progressed tremendously in her learning and development. She was constantly being engaged in activities that helped her grow and learn. She started recognising her ABCs, learning numbers, and coming home with new words and phrases that genuinely surprised us. It was wonderful to see how much she was developing and gaining confidence during her time there.
Sohaila was incredibly flexible, supportive, and a real help to our family. She allowed us to go to work every day with complete peace of mind, knowing that Zoya was safe, happy, and well cared for. Zoya also made lots of friends with the other children and truly enjoyed her time there.
Zoya stayed with Sohaila for a whole year, and the only reason she left was because we moved away. If distance had not become an issue, Zoya would have definitely remained in Sohaila's care.
We cannot recommend Sohaila highly enough and are so grateful for everything she did for our daughter and our family.

Great Childminder in Stratford!

Hi. Sohaila thank you very much for your kind care for our son!

We started sending our son to Sohaila during a period when he was experiencing separation anxiety, and she was incredibly attentive and empathetic toward his feelings. Thanks to her warm and thoughtful care, he settled in very quickly and began to really enjoy his time with her.

He learned and enjoyed a wide variety of games, songs, and new words every day. He also had lovely opportunities to play and interact with other children, which helped him develop important social skills.

We saw wonderful progress in his independence. Although he needed help with meals at home, he soon learned to eat by himself and drink water from an open cup after attending Sohaila’s setting.

Whenever his clothes got dirty, she kindly lent clean outfits, and she also provided blankets and toys that helped him feel happy and secure.

Meals were another highlight — she often used vegetables from her garden, making it a healthy and educational environment.

On top of that, she was extremely flexible with scheduling, which was a huge help to us as parents. We couldn’t be happier with our choice, and we highly recommend Sohaila to any family looking for a caring, nurturing, and reliable childminder.

Grateful for such Loving & Supportive Care!

Sohaila has been an amazing childminder to our daughter Sara, who she has cared for since she was just 13 months old. From the very beginning, Sohaila created a warm, nurturing, and gentle environment where Sara felt completely at ease.

She provides a wide variety of engaging activities that have had a hugely positive impact on Sara’s development and learning. From indoor activities like painting, cooking to outdoor play in her garden—including messy play, water fun, and gardening. Sohaila also offers children forest school sessions, as well as regular trips to the park and library.

Sohaila offers nutritious meals and snacks, and maintains a lovely daily routine that Sara naturally adapted to—including nap times. The regular updates via the Tiney app were especially reassuring for us as first-time parents and helped us feel very connected to our daughter’s day.

We’ve watched Sara thrive in Sohaila’s care—she’s grown into a confident, happy, and curious little girl, and we truly believe Sohaila played a big role in that. We feel so lucky to have found her and are incredibly grateful for the care and love she has given our daughter. Thank you!

Sohalia has been an incredible child minder for our daughter Mia over the past two years. From the very beginning, she provided a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where Mia felt completely at ease. The thought, care, and attention Sohalia has given to Mia’s development have been outstanding.

Nurturing, experienced and professional

When I bring my little 18-month-old daughter to Sohaila’s she starts bouncing in her pushchair, excitedly pointing and exclaiming as we make our way to Sohaila’s front door. She’s always happy to see Sohaila, and I know that I’m leaving her in excellent hands. Sohaila is genuinely warm and enthusiastic, always happy to see Talitha, and very professional.

Talitha clearly feels comfortable and plays happily with the other children in Sohaila’s care. They play inside and outside where there are toys and planted vegetables for them to water, and sometimes make little trips to the park and the library.

Sohaila provides tasty and healthy cooked meals for the children as part of the cost! And when I pick up my daughter, Sohaila gives me a run through of her day - her meals and snacks, her nap times, even her nappy changes. She also sends me pictures of Talitha during the day, and updates her progress over the weeks on the Tiney childcare app.

I highly recommend Sohaila. She is warm, nurturing, experienced and professional :)

Positive, happy environment

Sohaila's home is always welcoming, clean and well organised and my child has fun playing with all the toys available and with the other children in her care. Beyond all this though, it is Sohaila ’s warmth and tailored approach which sets her apart. Her reading corner is established thoughtfully with great reading resources.

Sohaila provides a wide, fun range of activities including plenty of outdoor exercises. As she has a backyard with organically planted vegetables. In October my child picked a sunflower from her backyard which was an unforgettable experience. At her front terrace, my child has recently enjoyed sand and water play. Whereas indoors my child enjoys drawing and sticking, reading and puzzles. Our little one enjoyed being taken on outings to the park trips to feed the ducks and walk in the woods.

Sohaila is a great communicator and encourages good behaviour and kindness and compassion to others, which are essential life skills. When my child crosses outside her boundaries she responds with firm but kind discipline explaining what we would like to see in terms that she grasps. When she is hurt, I am assured that she feels happy to be comforted by Sohaila and I am confident that she can administer either first aid or medication following all the correct procedures and completing the necessary records to ensure her health and safety.

She provides healthy food and snacks throughout my child’s nursery time. This can be seen in the way she completes a diary detailing what my child has done each day. From this, I have a complete picture of her whole day including what she has eaten, how long she has slept and all his fun and educational activities. This helps me to feel involved with her personal and educational development.

I am thoroughly content with the level of care my child obtains and I am sure that being in such a positive and happy environment is helping her to develop into a confident and self-assured little adult.

Sohaila is absolutely wonderful. She’s very understanding and ensures that my child is in a calming, safe environment. My son has special needs and she is very patient with him. He always comes home happy from hers and she ensures he is always well fed. Her home is cosy and clean. I would definitely recommend her. I drive 40 mins away to get to her and I wouldn’t chose another childminder closer because she’s so genuine it’s worth it.
