Our daughter started with Melissa when she was a year old, and has now been with her for several months. We have only positive things to say about Melissa, and cannot recommend her more highly. From next year, we are lucky to be increasing our days with her.
Right from the start, we were impressed by Melissa. Her communication is prompt and professional, but her manner is warm and approachable. When we first visited, we loved the home from home atmosphere that she creates, and we could see what a strong attachment the children in her care have with her. She is clearly so passionate about her work, and we knew this was the type of care that we wanted for our daughter.
Throughout the settle in process, Melissa went above and beyond to make sure that our daughter felt supported and soothed. She initially found it very hard to be separated from us, and Melissa was so sensitive to this, patiently and gently supporting her through her big feelings. Nothing was rushed, and the length of visits was increased incrementally so that the settling process was gradual. She even made the effort to meet us for a dog walk on her day off to help our daughter get to know her and her family dog Lola better. The flexibility and generosity Melissa showed during this process made an extraordinary difference to our family: our anxieties about leaving our daughter in childcare were calmed, and she was able to settle at her own pace.
Now our daughter reaches out for a cuddle with Melissa when we drop her off, and I feel confident that she is in safe, supportive, and responsive hands. During the day, Melissa updates me with all the relevant information via the Famly app, which is very reassuring.
What I like most about her care is the genuine love she puts into her interactions with the children, and also the way that she treats each child as the individual he or she is. I am also always impressed by how inventive and creative her activities are, and how much time they spend outside and in nature.
We feel so lucky to have found Melissa, and we are really excited to see our daughter bloom even more in her care.

Our 2 year old has been with Melissa for over a year now and his big brother attends occasionally in the holidays. Melissa is warm and kind and has enabled them to settle really well. Melissa knows our little boy really well and really understands his strengths, needs and where he is with his development. I’m always impressed with the creativity and effort Melissa puts in to organising varied activities and learning opportunities. She has been really flexible and easy to liaise with throughout. I would highly recommend her services for a relaxed, home from home and personal childcare option.

Our 9 month old daughter is currently with Melissa during the week. We couldn't wish for a better setting than with Melissa. Going back to work was very daunting, but knowing our little girl is in safe hands makes us so happy. Our little girl is always so happy to be dropped off and has a huge smile on her face every morning. Melissa plans fun activities and experiments with different foods. Melissa takes her to the park and we love getting updates on the app. The updates are very detailed and reassuring. They are filled with photographs, links to the EFYS curriculum and suggestions to do at home with our daughter. This communication is invaluable and extremely helpful. Our daughter has already formed a very strong bond with Melissa and we are grateful for everything she does.

Melissa was absolutely fantastic with my son who has disabilities, she was always kind and patient and made my son feel at ease. I highly recommend Melissa for childminding, she's definitely one of the best without a doubt.

Melissa looked after our daughter since she was 1 years old, 4 days a week, for 2 years. We couldn't recommend her enough, she was very active and always had different activities planned for each day; she was genuinely caring for our daughter, and my daughter became very fond of her. She kept a dairy for my daughter, with activities they did and naps she had and what food she'd had. Honestly, we were very lucky to have her as our childminder!

Melissa is the kindest person I know. She looked after my daughter as a baby for two days a week. My daughter absolutely loved going to Melissa’s house. So many activities to try within a wonderful environment, close to nature. Any child who is lucky enough to be looked after by Melissa will have a truly fulfilling and educational day. Home cooked fresh food was always made. No two days looked the same! My daughter still loves Melissa 🥰and we are lucky enough to be friends for life!

I’m deeply grateful for Melissa’s support. She would not only genuinely care about your child, she would cook and educate as well. She is genuinely interested the children to feel good. Melissa is the most genuine person I’ve met. She’s nice and kind, not only nice. Your child would only get inspired and looked after…

My little boy is currently being looked after by Melissa he is 14 months old and settled in very quickly and happily there. Melissa always has fun activities for him to be doing and he always seems to of enjoyed himself there and is happy and smiling! She uses a great app to keep me updated throughout the day as to what he’s up to! I’m so glad I found someone who is so caring and kind to look after my little boy. Would definitely recommend and I can’t wait to see more fun things he gets up to there! Thanks Melissa x
