Harrogate Ladies’ College is a vibrant, stimulating and diverse community. Here’s what we think makes us so special:
Our girls only approach – As a girls only environment we’re able to adapt our teaching methods to the way girls learn best; we don’t have any gender stereotypes when it comes to subject choices; and we know how to provide the support and guidance that teenage girls need in order to flourish.
Our results – We’re proud of our excellent results which belie our largely non-selective status. Studying at College typically adds one whole grade per subject and our A level results are the best in Harrogate. The majority of our girls go on to study at top Russell Group universities.
Our extra-curricular programme – Girls at College have access to an amazing array of extra-curricular activities and we encourage all of our pupils to embrace these opportunities and to discover and develop their individual talents.
Our size – The size of our school means that we have exceptionally high levels of inclusion in sport teams, music, drama performances and school leadership roles. It also means that we get to know and understand each and every girl and are able to work with them as individuals so that they achieve the best they possibly can.
