TANGLEWOOD NURSERY SCHOOL (3 & 4 yr old's)
Tanglewood is a Local Authority Nursery School. We provide half day nursery education for 3-5 year old's, government funded for 15 hours per week and staffed by qualified teachers and nursery nurses.
Children attend either 5 morning sessions or 5 afternoon sessions a week. We are accommodated in a light, airy single-storied building set in pleasant grounds, well-resourced with outside play areas at the back. There are three classrooms, each with its own toilet facilities and wash basins. The school has a kitchen and cooking base as well as a library for parents to use with children, offices and a utility area.
The school has a Speech and Language Centre and a new 2yr old provision.
Each classroom has access to an outside play area which we call the outside
Classroom. This is a very important part of the children’s learning and development. We also have a forest garden and each class has a session enjoying forest activities once a week. We go out to play daily regardless of the weather.
LITTLE TANGLEWOOD (2 & 3 yr old's)
We are pleased to say that from September 2015 we are able to take 2 year olds and have a new purpose built building.
Admissions are for up to five 3-hour sessions per week, which can be taken as morning, afternoon sessions or a combination of both. The minimum number of sessions a child can attend is two per week. Sessions are charged at £15 each, payable in advance. We are also able to accept 2yr old funding and workplace childcare vouchers.
Please note we are unable to offer a lunchtime facility at either Tanglewood or Little Tanglewood. Both nurseries run term time only.
Children may be added to our waiting list for Tanglewood from their second birthday and from their first birthday for Little Tanglewood. Please call in or ring to do this.

We have an open evening once a year for prospective new parents and an open morning for new families where children are welcome.
Our dates for next year are:
Thursday 10th March 2016, 6pm - 8pm - parents only
Saturday 7th May 2016 10am -12pm - children welcome.

Brilliant pre school
My son started at Tanglewoods entry start 2017. Tanglewood was not my first choice as i wanted him to attend where his sister went,but i am so glad that he came to this preschool.
The staff are amazing, so caring, helpful and understanding. I have never had any problems with communicating with them. In fact I have so much more info about parenting and getting involved in things outside school with my son.
The school has a great space with alot of activities and new adventures for the kids. All the children are taken care of and the teachers know exactly what your child needs. My son loves going to school at Tanglewoods. He especially likes the forest activities.
I have seen him grow into a confident child...all thanks to the staff. The staff are always encouraging parents to join in activities.
To be honest i have nothing bad to say about Tanglewoods. I know my son will be upset when he leaves in July. I coudnt of asked for a better preschool to prepare him for big school. Thank you to Tanglewoods and the staff.
Also the other parents have been great...easy to talk to. The beach trip they do is brilliant...I had the pleasure of joining my son on thr trip...and not only him but all kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
I have three kids all been to different schools...but Tanglewoods is far the best in comparison.
