Dear Parents,

I am a Nanny with 11 years of experience out of which 2 years were in the United States of America and 5 years in London.

My following application contains:

• Educational information, childcare related subjects highlighted
• Personal skills and interests

I have a clean Driving License and 18 years of experience as a safe driver.
My home town is Budapest. Hungary is part of the European Union which makes me eligible to live and work legally in the UK. I moved to London in December 2007 and I moved to beautiful Scotland in March 2020.

Personal interests and skills:

Cooking skills: Healthy macrobiotic dishes, children’s favourite finger foods, French, Italian, Hungarian, German, Austrian dishes. I am familiar with Kosher cooking as well as blood type diet cooking and paleo. I am proud of the creative Birthday Cakes I bake for children.

Artistic skills: Painting, drawing, texture painting, collage, photography, beading

Sport interests: Swimming, football, roller-skating, ice-skating, biking, scooter riding, horse riding, hula hoop, skipping rope, badminton,

Creative skills: Tailoring hand-made fancy costumes for children’s parties, handcrafting little gifts with the children (from age 2+) for parents and grandparents.

Computer skills: MS Office, Adobe Bridge, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro

For the request of my last employer I obtained a CRB check, took a First Aid course and became OFSTED registered, which I’m happy to renew should my new family decide to sponsor it.

Excellent references from my previous employers and their contact details are available upon a successful interview. I didn't provide full names of the Families in my employment history in order to protect their privacy.

Looking forward to the opportunity of introducing myself in person.

Kind Regards,

Gabriella

December 2011 - February 2014. Family K. - (South Kensington) London, UK

Live-out special needs nanny responsible for Sophia, who suffers from cystic fibrosis, from age 1 to 3 and her newborn sister Bella from the day she was born until age 1.5

I still keep in touch with them and regularly provide arts & craft workshops at their Birthday parties/holiday activities.

• Inside activities with Sophia: administering her medication before and during meals in a fun way, giving her physio twice a day and trying to make it fun for her, encouraging her to participate in activities that help to maintain clean lungs, such as bubble blowing, playing the recorder, blowing straws, jumping on the trampoline, etc..
Cooking healthy food for her based partly on Annabel Carmel's recipes, using traditional European healing herbs and food.
Using arts and craft as a way to overcome communication difficulties, making artworks and cards for family and relatives. Encouraging her to accept people outside of her family and engage in activities outside of her comfort zone.

• Outside activities with Sophia: spending plenty of time outside in the fresh air no matter what the weather is like. Participating in sport classes in Hyde Park, visiting the private Cadogan Gardens after breakfast and after the lunchtime nap every day. Encouraging activities that strengthen her lungs, such as: scooter, football, tennis, running after balls, chasing butterflies, chasing squirrels.

• Duties with Sophia: sterilizing her syringes, cups, bottles, physio equipment. Administering her medicines, giving her physio, being responsible for her health and well being, preventing her from getting a cold, nursing her when ill.

• Activities with Bella: my main approach towards Bella was always to make sure that she doesn't live in the shadow of a seriously ill sibling, and she gets enough quality time, love and attention even when her ill sister needs non stop care. I discovered early that she is interested in classical music and especially enjoys listening to operas. We have spent every moment when Sophia's condition allowed listening to operas while developing gross and fine motor skills through a wide variety of arts and craft.
