About Me

Hello! I am offering my services as a nanny and babysitter. My name is Liberty and I am 23 years old. I have a First Class Degree from London College of Music and now work in a primary school full-time.

I’m a confident, enthusiastic, bubbly person with a passion for working with children. Having a 20 year old and 6 year old brother has only opened up my imagination further and I love spending time playing. Children of all ages gravitate towards my warm and friendly nature, and my ability to care and nurture children puts parents at ease. Learning through play is important, so I enjoy teaching the children through the use of fun and games. I am very versatile and can mould to meet your exact needs and requirements. I have experience from newborn babies into teenagers. From supporting your older child with their homework and playing games, to simply being a house sitter whilst your teen does their own thing - I’d love to help.

I know how difficult it is to rely on someone to care for your little one, which is why you can trust me to provide the utmost care for your child.

A little about me: In my spare time, I love reading, going to the theatre and travelling to new places. Any time I’m with friends or family, I’m having a good time!

Please do not hesitate to contact me if you would like to view my CV, DBS Check or Ofsted paperwork. Additionally, please message me to discuss my availability and hourly rate - feel free to attach your mobile!

My Experience

I have lots of varied experience within the childcare industry. My mother has been a childminder for over ten years and worked in childcare for 30 years, so I have grown up around children my whole life. This has resulted in me learning incredible amounts about the childcare industry, as well as health and safety when children are in your care too. I have a DBS check that permits me to work as an Ofsted registered assistant in my home, working alongside my mother to care for each and every child.

In 2022, I worked at a nursery for 6 months. Here I worked in all rooms, including the baby room, toddler room and summer holiday club room. Learning through play is key, so I researched inventive ways to set up the indoor and outdoor areas to keep the children stimulated and excited to learn. I also organised and led a variety of activities, including crafting, drawing and painting, modelling, building and role-playing. We created activities to celebrate seasons and including all children in celebrating their faiths and religions. Additionally, I supported the lead of Forest School on a weekly basis. Here, we taught the children essential skills, such as collecting materials, building and lighting a fire, fire safety, how to cook and make drinks. We also led bug hunts, nature trails and listening walks. I cherished spending so much time with the children and building such lovely bonds with them.

I have now been at the primary school for nearly a year and a half. I began my role here as a 1:1 assistant, meaning I support one child full time. I have worked with four children on a 1:1 basis, all having completely different needs. These include but aren’t limited to: ADHD, Autism, PDA, Global Development Delay, PTSD and Trauma. I have also cared for looked after children, too. Working with these children has been a fantastic experience and I have learnt so much through each of them. Building and adapting my approach to suit the needs of each child is vital, and setting individual targets to meet their needs but still challenge them has been a joy. It’s so rewarding to see first hand the impact that working closely with these children has. I now work as a general teaching assistant and teach intervention classes - this is small groups of children who require extra support, teaching them Maths, English and Writing.

Newborn Experience:
With regards to newborn experience, I have helped care for my 6 year old brother since the day he was born. This has included making and feeding bottles, food, drinks, medicines, changing nappies and clothing, bathing, playing and putting to bed. From living with my brother, I have first hand experience with this and know how much goes into looking after a child in the best ways possible. I also have experience caring for babies and young children through the app, too.
