Hello, my name is Heather McKinnon and I currently live in Gainsborough with my partner and dog Baxter. For the past few years I have been self-employed providing beauty services. Although I have enjoyed this and have been successful, I have missed working within the childcare sector as caring for children and helping with their development has always been a passion of mine and I would like to better use my experience and knowledge that I have gained. I have been described as having a very bubbly, easygoing, patient and friendly personality who isn't afraid to look a little bit silly which I think is always important when caring for children.
My Experience
I have 4 years experience working as a Nursery Practitioner where I worked within the baby room, toddler room and preschool room. During my education courses I have also spent lots of time doing work placement in nursery’s and primary schools where I was able to learn and gain more experience. Throughout these years I have gained experience caring for children ages 0-11 years.
My Qualifications
I have a degree in Early childhood studies (Level 6) where I achieved a 2:1. I also have an A-level in Childcare and Education CACHE Level 3 where I achieved an A and 5 GCSE's all above a C.
