About Me

**NOT CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR WORK**

I am looking for a new role which will allow me to bring my daughter with me (born March 2022) I am 34 years old & I love working with children of all ages. I am fun, bubbly, organised, full of energy & enjoy teaching children new things to help them learn, develop & grow. I drive & own a car. I like to think of myself as quite creative. In my spare time I do sewing & make cushions. I also make collectable dolls houses which I really enjoy. I like photos & looking back at old pictures & remember the memories they make. I am a very honest & reliable person who is approachable & willing to discuss anything. Being punctual is an essential for me!! I'd like to find a family who would treat me & my daughter like one of their own and welcome us into their loving home for the foreseeable future. I have a very caring nature & would love & nurture your child/children as much as any parent does.
If you would like to know anything else please do not hesitate to message me & ask :-)

My Experience

I have worked in childcare for over 12 years & I am now a mother myself. I worked in a nursery setting for 5 years before leaving to become a nanny. I have worked with children of all ages from 2 weeks old up to 13 years old.
When I was at the nursery, I started in the nursery school room which is from ages 3 - 4 years. I then moved into the 'ones unit'. This was with children between the ages of 8 months - 16 months. I was then moved into the toddlers setting with children between the ages of 18 months - 2 years old. I then moved into the preschool room with children between the ages of 2-3 years. I was the room leader of both the toddler room & the pre school room. After 5 years I left to become a nanny.

I started with two separate families as a nanny share, these were both temporary roles. One family had a boy aged 3 & a girl aged 1. The other family had four boys aged 7,5,2 & 9 months when I started with them. I then left both these jobs & began work with two separate families as a nanny share again. One family had two girls aged 3 & 1 when I started. The other had one girl aged 3 & one boy aged 2 when I started. I was with them for a year. I then began work with a family who have 4 children. 2 boys & 2 girls aged 7, 5, 3 & 2 weeks old when I started.
With all my roles, I arranged regular play dates, trips to the park, we also go to music groups, soft play, swimming, arts & crafts & lots more. I cook meals & ensure they have a healthy balanced diet.
I then took on a temp role for a year with two children aged 7 & 4. I did school/nursery runs, play dates, after school activities, run errands for the parents, cook healthy meals from scratch. I then left that role to start a permanent role based in Luxembourg. I worked for a family with two girls aged 3 year old & 6 months when I started. I was hired to help the children learn English. Alongside this, I would play & encourage their development, change nappies, take them for walks, play dates, park trips, feeding the ducks, helping the baby with sleep times & potty training. I would also assist the family on holidays. Unfortunately due to covid, this role came to an end sooner than expected. My most recent role was based in Dulwich, London for a family with 2 children, a boy aged 2 & a girl aged 5 when I started. This was a live in role. I would stay with them during the week then come home at weekends. I was with them for almost 2 years before leaving due to redundancy.

I still babysit on a regular basis for some of my previous employers & for families from the nursery. I have live in proxy parenting experience. Both parents had to work away for the week so I lived with the children for 6 days. Two children aged 6 & 3. Also, I helped this same family at their wedding & looked after the kids in the evening then lived with the kids for another week while the parents went on honeymoon.

I am looking for a new role which will allow me to bring my daughter with me (born in March 2022) preferably I’d like between 2-4 days a week but I would be open to discussing this.

My Qualifications

I have an NVQ level 2 in childcare & also a level 3 diploma in childcare. I achieved both these qualifications while working full time at a nursery. I also have a DBS, my own car, business insurance for my car, two car seats, clean driving licence & an up to date first aid certificate. References available on request. I also have a level 2 & level 3 qualification in counselling skills for working with children.
