My Experience
I am a Primary School Teacher, currently working in a Reception class of 30 children. I work with different abilities, and I have a solid understanding of the curriculum in Early Years and KS1.
Prior to this I worked as a professional Nanny. Although the wealth of my experience comes from working long term with triplets, I have worked in several other temporary positions with children aged between six months and fourteen years. In all of my roles I have been responsible for the safety, wellbeing and development of the children in my care. I have had to stimulate the children in the home with age appropriate activities as well as attending activities outside of the home. I am experienced at maintaining daily routine, night time routine care, overnight care, potty training, preparing food or bottles, and general housekeeping. I can help with home learning, early reading and maths.
Aside from my professional experiences, volunteering is something that I value and over the years I have volunteered in different settings as both an English teacher and homeless shelter assistant. I have experience of private English Tutoring as well.
I am patient, understanding, creative and reliable. I have a solid understanding of the typical behaviours and capabilities of children at different ages and levels. I recognize the challenges of childcare, but feel very competent at dealing with them. Fundamentally, I feel committed to creating a positive influence for the children in my care.
At the moment, I am open to discussing temporary summer work, adhoc

My Qualifications
I hold a BA in English Language, a PGCE and QTS. As well as this, I have 3 A Levels and 11 GCSE's. I have a driving licence, DBS and I intend on renewing my Paediatric First Aid Certificate in the coming months.
