CURRENTLY I HAVE AVAILABILITY and am looking for a 20+ hour weekly contract.
I live in Clifton & have transport.
I am a very experienced Nanny & Housekeeper with excellent references.
Since moving here last March I have been looking after a gorgeous baby (now 11 months old and his 4yr old sister.)
I regularly take the children out unaccompanied to the park, to the local shopping area and cafés and occasionally to a baby singing group, when his mum is busy.
But before moving to Bristol in 2023, I completed a super assignment with a 5 month old. Also an assignment with a lovely adopted boy who was just settling in with his new family, which was very rewarding
Whilst living in Dorset, I had experience of looking after very active six-year-old twins; which involved collecting them from school, taking them to the park and soft play activities, feeding and caring for them both Until their parents were around.
Since Jan 2018, I’d completed a 5 year nanny/housekeeper position, looking after a very busy family of four & their very large hyperactive dog; mainly working split shifts.
This was a very demanding but enjoyable role, which I only left because the children were now older teenagers and no longer needed a nanny full-time.
I’m very natural & confident around babies & children from experience and as a parent of
5 children (now aged 31-39) whom I am immensely proud of and I’m also grandparent to 5 gorgeous grandchildren (aged 5-14 years). Additionally I’m a very involved aunt to my niece & several nephews.
I adore looking after children and over many years have done a lot of nannying and babysitting, both as a job & for family and friends. I am kind, mature, intelligent, bright, fun, energetic and quick-thinking, also very patient and caring.
I am a law graduate who has worked in law firms & within the NHS, in a clinical role for several years looking after patients on a one:one. During this time I passed my City & Guilds Certificate in Community Mental Health, Level 3.
I can communicate using BSL - and would love to look after deaf children.
With a car, I can be extremely flexible and am prepared to travel for the right job.

My Experience
Now self-employed, after recently completing an employed position as a full-time nanny and housekeeper for almost five years until October 2022 for a very busy family of 4 with a large boisterous dog; both parents are very successful restauranteurs, and the family lived in a very large 4-storey house. Ultimately leaving this position, as the children had then reached 12 and 16.

Previously I cared for a gorgeous eight month old baby four times a week since November… which was such an incredibly rewarding job, which I was extremely sad to leave, but the assignment ended as I moved to Bristol.
Collecting six-year-old, very active twins from school previously… involved taking them to activities, feeding them and keeping them company after school. This was another very enjoyable assignment
Over many years, I’ve had an involvement in schools, pre-schools & parent /baby/ toddler groups.
Previously I was working for 5+ years in a caring role within a NHS Community Mental Health team.
When my youngest 3 children were all pre-schoolers, I was a registered childminder .
I have a wealth of babysitting & childminding experience over 40+ years.

I’m flexible and prepared to travel for the right role. I’m a car owner/driver with a full clean driving licence.

Dawn provided an excellent service and went above and beyond when babysitting our 7 month old son on multiple occasions. The most important one being our wedding day. Despite changing the plan for the day Dawn remained flexible and allowed us to have our son join us at the wedding reception for a couple of hours which was so important to us. We could then enjoy the rest of our evening safe in the knowledge that our son was being well cared for at home by Dawn. Dawn was confident in all things baby care including play time, bottle feeding, nappies, bath time and bedtime routine. Our son loved spending time with her and was happy and confident even when we left. We would not hesitate to recommend Dawn for her excellent childcare services.

Oh Rosie, Thank you for such a detailed and fabulous review… I absolutely loved helping out with Brendan, who’s such a great boy & the wonderful Pippin, the dog!! I especially valued having the privilege to attend your wedding on the day with Brendan, just for a couple of hours – the whole thing was so charming and it was a privilege to work for you & your husband.
