I am 54 years of age and have been a registered childminder since 2005. I live with my partner Keith in Amington, Tamworth. I have looked after children of all ages and have enjoyed every minute of it. I also have 2 dogs called willow and Shelby. I have a separate playroom and outdoor area for the children creating an indoor/outdoor experience, depending on the ages and stages of development of the children in my care. I offer a home from home service, and like anyone who enters my home to feel instantly comfortable.
My Experience
I have a son of my own, and have cared for my sisters children since the first one was born in 1997. I have cared for over 100 children of varying ages and enjoyed all of it. I am currently working to the Early Years Foundation Stage and keep track of their progress. I have toys available for all ages and stages. I regularly attend up and coming training courses to make sure my knowledge is up to date and i dont fall behind.

Have been using Julia on and off for the last 6 years with my son and most recently with my daughter. Julia always asks for any routine we have and trys to stick to this within her settings. She takes the children to play groups and does a lot of craft activities. Her updates and reports on the progress are brilliant and makes me feel extremely comfortable leaving my children with her. What’s more my kids always look forward to going and come home smiling. Julia has always managed to accommodate my shift patterns and has also helped out when emergencies have come up. Would highly recommend

My son has been going to Julia since October 2018 and she is brilliant.
Julia is professional with working with the children, helping them to reach milestones etc. For example she helps my son with his days of the week currently and helps him to be able to say mine and my husbands name as well as his own.
Julia also asks if you have any specific routines at home or specific ways to deal with any behavioural issues and she will use the same in her practice to make sure that the children know where they stand and aren’t confused by having two different routines etc to follow along with making you aware of hers so that you can work together to help the children.
Julia also has the most lovely ideas for special occasion crafting with the children such as for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day and Christmas.
All parents are communicated to brilliantly such as when everything is going on currently, Julia makes parents aware of any government changes we need to know of both for the practice and financially.
But not only is Julia great professionally she is also great personally, she is there to help parents if they need anything and is great with the children, my son loves her! She is easy to approach, she understands and she will comfort the children when needed for example if they are upset at the morning drop offs or for instance when my husband works away my son misses him terribly and Julia will comfort him then.
I would definitely recommend Julia to anyone looking for childcare. She really is one of a kind

Been using Julia since September and wouldn't use anyone else. My son adores her and is coming on leaps and bounds with Julia's help. She ensures that he is stimulated throughout the day with toys and games and takes him to local play groups to interact in a social setting. Her records are fab and very helpful. She's lovely and friendly makes you feel very comfortable and confident to leave my son with.
