About Me

Hello, my name is Nuala (pronounced new-la!) I believe that every young person holds incredible potential, and sometimes it just takes a different approach to help it shine through. My own experiences navigating the world of learning have instilled in me a strong conviction that with the right encouragement and personalised support, any one can achieve wonderful things – especially those with SEND, SEMH needs, or for those where the traditional classroom isn't the best fit.

My academic background is a blend of creative passion (BA Hons Fine Art and a PGCE in Secondary Art & Design) and clear, structured thinking (Masters of Law). This, enriched by three years of teaching in varied settings and dedicated experience tutoring young people on unique educational paths, allows me to offer a truly holistic and adaptable style of support. My core strength and passion lies in building a young person’s confidence from the inside out. I foster this in a warm, 1-1 setting where students feel understood and valued. We'll work collaboratively on English & Maths (up to KS3 ability), and explore self-expression and growth through Art & Mentoring (up to KS5). My ultimate goal is to create a positive and empowering learning environment where your child feels not just supported, but truly celebrated for who they are and all they can achieve.
