Hello, I’m Sandy. I’m a 40 year old nanny based in BS10 with 20 years of childcare experience. I’m experienced in newborn care, twins, and SEN support. I live locally with my 21 year old son who is the best person I know.
I come from a big family of five sisters and a huge mix of nieces and nephews. I have been around babies and children all my life. This gives me a natural understanding of different personalities, family dynamics and what helps children feel safe, settled and happy.
Families describe me as calm, grounded and easy to be around. I pick up cues quickly and I create a warm, structured environment for children to relax and thrive in. I work well with first-time parents, tired parents and anyone who wants someone mature, steady and supportive in the house.

I’m now looking for a local nanny position of 16-24 hours per week, over 2/3 days, from February 2027.
I’m available for full days/shifts rather than wraparound care.

My Availability
Available for 1/2 days a week from now until February 2027, and after that require at least 2-3 days a week (16-24 hours).
Full-day roles preferred
Not offering wraparound school care
I am flexible and happy to discuss what works best for your family.
My Fees
- Nannying from £20.00 per hour (net)
From £20 per hour.
Will consider employed and self-employed roles.

Sandy worked with us for 2 days a week for a few weeks both to give me a bit of a break and so that I could start to return to work for a few hours a week. My twins were around 9/10 months old and they warmed to Sandy instantly as she is so caring and gentle, but also fun and always trying to make them laugh. It was a relief having a nanny who was reliable, trustworthy, and could get on with things with minimal instructions including preparing meals, keeping the babies entertained and general baby care . Her extensive experience means that Sandy is a fantastic source of knowledge about
babies and children and can help with everything. It was particularly helpful for me as a new mum to have non-judgmental guidance and general support, things can get a bit overwhelming at times, especially with more than one baby to look after.

It was easy to bond with your gorgeous boys and it was my pleasure to help support you along the way too. Thank you for welcoming me so warmly and for trusting me with your precious babies. I enjoyed my time with you all.
We’ve known Sandy for 10 months, whilst she cared for our 7 year old daughter.
She’s an incredibly Nanny who made such a positive impact in her role and our daughter loved their time together.
Sandy has many wonderful traits, she is hugely creative and resourceful in finding fun activities. She’s patient and kind, and helped our daughter to regain her confidence. Sandy is reliable and never let us down.
We will always remember the contribution that Sandy made to our family and thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for a compassionate and competent Nanny.
