New changes have been introduced with regards to funding, and if you are eligible for funding and wish to start childcare in the Autumn term (1st September - 31st December) in South Gloucestershire, funding claims will generally need to be submitted by the 22nd September 2026. (There are limited exceptions to this deadline, so please feel free to get in touch to see if your situation falls within the criteria). If the deadline is missed, and you don’t fall into the criteria for a late submission, funding can be submitted for the Spring Term (1st January to 31st March).
I am an Ofsted Registered Childminder working from a lovely large room in Hanham Community Centre on a Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Free parking is available for drop offs and collections
We are conveniently located next to Hanham library and have some lovely parks and a nature reserve nearby. We love to get out and about in the morning, and especially love outings to the play cafe in Longwell Green, rhyme sessions at the library and picnics in the park. As our set up is in a very large room, the children have plenty of room to play and explore.
I work alongside 2 lovely childminders, Amanda Durbin and Ruby Adams. Once your children are settled, we are happy to provide back up childcare for one another, subject to availability.
I am fully insured, hold an enhanced DBS & I am Paediatric First Aid Trained.
I am registered to offer funded spaces and I am also able accept payments via the government tax free childcare scheme.
My Experience
I have been working with children since 2014 both as a Childminder and a Childcare Nanny. During this time I have cared for children from 7months up until 13 years of age.
In addition I also have experience working within a Nursery, working with children from 6 months to 4 years of age.

Understand how to set up a Homebased Childcare Service - Level 3 Pass
(Completed on 11th August 2011)
Level 2 & Level 3 Safeguarding completed- 2025
New Early Years Foundation Stage - 2012 - Pass
Food Safety Awareness - Pass
(Completed on 4th May 2013)
Refresher Childminding Course completed December 2025 - Pass
Paediatric First Aid Course - Pass
(Completed July 2026)
My Availability
1 x Thursday childminding space becoming available from January 2027.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
- Childminding from £10.00 per hour
Childminding Private Fee - £10 per hour
Voluntary Fee for Enhanced Outings - £2.50 per session.
Evening and Weekend Babysitting rate - £16 before midnight £20 after midnight.

Laura was an amazing Nanny to our daughter who was 9 months old. We had previously tried to use a childminder but she had separation anxiety and struggled being away from us. We decided having someone in our home would be better. Laura was amazing. She learnt all about our daughter and made us all feel at ease. Our daughter settled with her really quickly. Laura taught her lots of amazing skills such as counting. She also took her to groups to ensure she socialised with other children. We would highly recommend Laura. Especially if your child struggles with separation anxiety.
