I am an Ofsted registered childminder, graded 'Outstanding' across all areas of my practise. I am Accredited and able to provide 15 hours of government funded care for 2,3 and 4 year olds.
I live 5 mins walk from Prittlewell station.
I live with my Husband David and our 2 beautiful children who are
21 and 19 years old
I pride myself on having a safe, clean and smoke free home. It has a large back garden which is fully enclosed.
I provide a wide range of indoor/outdoor toys,crafts and activities all aimed at stimulating and captivating young minds.
I offer a home from home service so that whilst you are at work or college your child feels safe, happy and comfortable.
I follow the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) for all children under the age of 5, by using this framework in my daytime routine the children can have fun playing and trying new activities whilst developing and learning at the same time. We live close to local amenities, shops, library,park,playgroups etc and I am a frequent visitor to them all.
My Experience
Aswell as having my own 2 children, a boy who is 22 and my girl who is 19
I have worked in childcare for the past 18 years. Working as a nanny to a family of 3 girls aged 3,6 and 9. Before this I had my own babysitting service from the age of 16.
Now I have my own childminding business and I believe all children are a gift that should be cherished, nurtured and loved.
My Qualifications
Ofsted registered.
Fully insured with PACEY (Professional Association for childcare and early years)formerly the NCMA.
DBS enhanced clearance
Current Paediatric First Aid certificate.
* Level 2 Food safety trained
* Level 3 Diploma in Home based childcare.
* Level 3 SENCO trained
* Level 4 Safeguarding trained.
* Level 5 Diploma in leadership for health & social care and children and young people's services.
* Level 5 in Early Years.
* And many more courses inline with my profession.
My Availability
I am Able to accomodate 30 hours funding

Open door from 7am-7pm however I do aim to be as flexible as possible.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
My fees are discussed at our initial meeting.
Please ask about sibling discount.
I do not charge if I'm ill.
Full fee is payable should your child is away due to illness or holidays.
In the event of myself becoming ill I have a back-up childminder who may be able to help with your childcare, her details are available on request.
I also offer a babysitting service at £12 an hour.
Fee's are due in advance, and can be paid weekly, fortnightly or monthly.
I accept bank transfer, cash or childcare vouchers

Sam has cared for our first daughter since she was 9 months old & our daughter absolutely adores Sam & her family. Our second baby will also join Sam in a few months and we know that she will also be in great hands.
I remember feeling so overwhelmed and worried about the prospect of leaving my baby with someone else when I went back to work, but I truly had nothing to worry about. Neither my husband or I are ever worried about our daughter as we know she is beyond safe, loved & happy.

Sam really helped me when I was let down last minute, very accommodating to my schedule. My LB had a lovely time, would recommend and if i am in the area I will be contacting again.

Sam is absolutely amazing at her job. She not only cares for the children as if her own, she establishes long lasting trusting relationships with them.
I contacted Sam March 2021 and enrolled my daughter shortly after. Edith absolutely adores Sam and the other children there. Edirh has come such a long way in her learning, speech and social skills it absolutely amazes me.
