About Me
I have a great deal of experience with children of all ages and abilities I am very good with babies pre-school and children of all ages and abilities from primary, secondary, college and university.
I offer outings to the park, toddler groups, music and movement or arts & crafts, baking computer or board games, Basketball, Cricket, Football or Tennis – whatever the child is interested in I will try my best to keep them happy.
My Experience
Started as a Childminder in October 1990, I am now working as a Nanny coming to the childs home rather than working from mine, I am currently available to take in and collect from any setting , I have run toddler groups and been very involved in the Schools and local community over the years.
I have helped children with their speech and language, having looked after Polish, Japanese, French Dutch and other nationalities. I have had first hand experience of assisting children with special needs, please speak to me for further details. I speak English and French
My Qualifications
Paediatric First Aid – 24 March 2018, Early Years SENCO March 2018, Teaching 1 & 2 Year Olds, Teaching Boys and Girls, Daily Routines and Business Planning Webinars June 2018, 2 Year Progress Check July 2018 and booked onto many others to demonstrate my ongoing self development and commitment to my profession.
Health and Safety, Basic Life Support, Anaphylaxis and Defibrillation 22nd August 2017. Child Protection Levels 1 & 2 28th November 2017 Cultural Awareness. Fire Safety 8th December 2017 . I also have a Duty of Care Certificate, Health and Safety, Conflict resolution and Handling information all achieved at the end of 2017 beginning of 2018, these are all valid for 3 years.
Food & Hygiene Business Certificate , highest rating 5.

I was a Carer from 2018 to 2000 where I learnt how to move and handle people and I was a medic from 1984-1988 where I got my nursing experience, I have a good all round secondary education achieving many GCEs including French, I stayed on at College to gain better English and Secretarial qualifications and worked mainly as a Secretary before I became a Childminder.

We’re very happy with the childcare that Thérèse has provided for our 11 month old. It’s been reassuring to know that our son was being looked after by an experienced childminder who takes the role seriously. The service has been both flexible and reliable. Her informative feedback has been much appreciated. Our son has been happy throughout his time with Thérèse which we’re both very thankful for.

I heartily recommend Therese. I booked her at short notice (having been let down by an agency booking) to look after my 5 month old son and she was brilliant! Her qualifications and experience are exemplary and she was very thorough when I rang her to make the booking.
My son was happy in her company immediately, and she went out of her way to reassure me and be helpful.
It was an unusual job - we asked Therese to come to Glyndebourne Opera festival and look after our baby in the grounds there for the afternoon and evening as I am still breastfeeding. She took it all in her stride, and cared for him excellently. It was very reassuring to know he was so well looked after, so I could relax and enjoy the opera, and it was lovely to find him playing and chuckling with Therese when we came out for the intervals - she couldn't have been better!

Thank you so much - I really enjoyed meeting you, your husband your friends and some of the cast - this is my 25th year of childminding and I felt this experience was like the icing on the cake - a lovely family, an understanding mother, a happy baby, a lovely environment - would love to meet you again if the need arises - we have the seaside and bonfire night is 5th November worth a visit - love Therese
Therese proved to be an excellent ‘find’ for us. She and our son 6 years old seemed to bond very well and she provided wonderful childcare services and feedback. Therese was accommodating and understanding of our needs an tailored her service to fit our needs perfectly. I’d have no hesitation in recommending her to others.

Was lovely to meet you Chris and Luka, I do not know how your husband got on with his interview but if you ever would like to use my service again I would love to look after your lovely son again - well mannered polite and good company - another date for your diary if you would like to use my service again would be bonfire night in Lewes 5th November there is a childrens parade earlier then about 7.30 pm more set out and then later for the adults around 10pm more goes on - I have helped several people by looking after their children while they enjoy the festivities taking the child with them or leaving them with me for a bit while the adults have the fun - if you are interested call me would be nice to see you again
