My Experience

I have several years of experience working in early years childcare, including a role as a Room Leader in a baby room caring for children aged 7 months to 2 years. In this position, I was responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the room, supporting and leading staff, and creating a positive, nurturing environment for both the team and the children. I also managed the children’s daily routines, ensuring their individual needs were met while promoting their development across all areas of learning.

Previously, I worked as a Key Worker at Pottery Preschool in Truro on a short-term contract, as well as at a preschool in Shortlanesend. Alongside my nursery experience, I have provided babysitting and nannying services for two local families, caring for children aged between 3 and 7 years.

During my college studies, I completed two valuable placements. My first placement was in a nursery with a dedicated baby unit, where I developed a strong interest in working with younger children. My second placement was in a preschool attached to a city primary school, allowing me to gain experience with older preschool-aged children and broaden my understanding of early years education. I also spent time shadowing a professional nanny during school holidays to gain insight into home-based childcare and participated in educational visits to a variety of nursery settings through college.

I am currently managing my family’s campsite, where I have developed strong organisational, communication, and customer service skills. However, I am now looking to return to childcare, as working with children has always been my passion, and I am eager to continue making a positive difference in their early development.

My Qualifications

Having been away from the childcare sector for the past five years while managing my family’s business, I am currently updating my childcare qualifications and training to ensure they are fully up to date and reflect current best practice.

* Enhanced DBS certificate (clear; currently being updated).
* CACHE Level 3 Extended Diploma in Childcare and Education.
* Paediatric First Aid (currently being renewed).
* Food Hygiene certificate (currently being renewed).
* GCSEs in English, Mathematics, Science, Photography, Information Technology (IT), and Society, Health and Development.

My Fees

• Nannying from £12.00 per hour (gross)
• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

I will be looking for wages £12 with a minimum £25.00 babysitting price.
