From the start, I knew Penny was who I wanted to look after my 1.5 year old at the time (now 3). Ciri had the best time with Penny and she made sure that Ciri always had things to do, learning, fun and adventures and lots of laughs. Ciri always asks about Penny and we still meet up ✨ I would highly recommend Penny, extremely reliable and lovely to have around. A forever friend I hope x

From our very first enquiry, she was incredibly responsive and got back to us almost immediately. As first-time parents looking for a babysitter for our very young daughter, we were understandably quite nervous. Our minds were completely put at ease from the start. She suggested meeting us a few days before the booking so we could all get to know each other, introduce her to Darcy, and ask any questions we had about her qualifications, experience and childcare background.
She brought along all of her certificates, references and documentation for us to look through, which gave us even more confidence. It was immediately obvious that she has dedicated her career to working with children and genuinely cares about providing the very best care for young children.
Darcy took to her straight away, which made our decision so much easier. They bonded instantly, and we felt completely comfortable leaving Darcy in her care.
During the babysitting session, we were kept updated with messages and photos, reassuring us that everything was going well. She also asked beforehand how much communication we would like, making sure she worked around whatever made us feel most comfortable.
Continuing to be fantastic with communication, always replying quickly to messages and being flexible around our schedule whenever possible. She’s accommodating if plans change and is always happy to discuss timings in advance.
We’ve already booked her again and she’ll definitely be our regular babysitter going forward. Knowing Darcy is happy, settled and genuinely enjoys spending time with her gives us complete peace of mind. If you’re looking for someone who is experienced, professional, kind, trustworthy and genuinely passionate about childcare, we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Penny babysat for our son who has additional needs so that we could enjoy our new year's eve without worrying. Penny is reliable, easy to communicate with and very understanding. I will definitely be using her again next time we stay in Portsmouth!

Nanny Penny has looked after our twin girls since they were 4 months old. She was a God send and helped us with overnight care. Our girls are now 4yrs old and we also have a son with Down Syndrome and Autism. She's helped with all our children in lots of different situations.
She's registered with 'Tax Free Childcare' which really helps with payments as we get 25% from the government.
She's loving, caring and creative with activities. She's great at playing with the children and looking after them.
I've recommended her to many friends who have also used her services for their children.
Our children love her and we love her too. She's part of our family.

Penny was the first babysitting experience we’ve had for our baby daughter (outside the family.) She was excellent throughout - she made a separate trip before the evening itself to meet our daughter (who warmed to her immediately) and arrived early on the evening she babysat for us. Her warm and extremely pleasant demeanour put us both at ease and she is a really reliable person; Penny kept us informed during the babysitting that all was well, as I requested. As a bonus, she was fully supportive of the cloth nappies we use on our daughter and this is very rare. I would not hesitate to use Penny for childcare in future.

My daughter enjoyed spending time with Penny and her Mum. They have a great set up with all the gear pram, cot, toys, high chair etc so makes traveling from afar easier! Penny was super flexible and a realisable safe set of hands.

Penny has worked with us since May 15 caring for my little girl from around 8 months, throughout my return to shift work, pregnancy and birth of my little boy. She was invaluable in the early days with him helping me to sleep during those first few weeks whenever possible, whilst still making my eldest feel important. She has been vital in my return to work, flexible with shifts including nights and periods of multiple days in a row when I have been abroad with work. Her patience with my two spirited children extends to a post shift grumpy mum too and she is always there with a kind word at the end of the day. The children adore her and she gives them all the love you would want them to have when you can't be there to give it yourself. She will follow your lead with discipline and boundaries which is appreciated. Highly recommended especially with young children.

What can I say about Penny? She is a fantastic nanny who has been a Godsend to me. Working as a Police officer, Penny has been brilliant at accommodating my awkward and unsociable duties, she is very flexible and has saved me at short notice, staying on well beyond her arranged hours when I was in desperate need of sleep!
Penny has looked after my children, aged 2 and 6 years since the Summer 2014 and she has become a part of the family. She is always cheerful and upbeat, keen to interact with the children and to take on board their needs. They love the fun craft activities she does with them, like making 'mummy hands' at Halloween!
Penny is a naturally very caring person and clearly loves caring for children. She is sensitive to their feelings, which is especially important to me as she has been nannying for me since I split up with my husband and I had to return to work full time. Although she is kind and caring she is also good at maintaining boundaries and discipline, very much adhering to the same ethos that I have.
Penny more often than not stays overnight and has had several broken nights sleep looking after my 2 year old. She is excellent at calming him down and the lack of sleep never interferes with her child caring. She also keeps me updated with any issues that arise and I have every confidence that my children are safe and well looked after, allowing me to concentrate at work. I really don't know where I would have been without Penny and would be gutted if she were poached!!

Penny looked after our children 4,6 and 13 during most of the day, she visited before hand and we felt comfortable and relaxed with her, the kids couldn't wait for her to look after them. Our 13 yr old said she was nice and she was able to talk to her. Will definitely be having Penny to babysit again and would happily trust her for the whole day.

We were looking for someone rather special to babysit our three daughters as one is on the autistic spectrum and another has ocd. Penny is experienced, friendly, reliable, patient and above all else the children describe her as " fun". Penny has a natural way of caring for children especially those with challenging behaviours. Its is nice to finally be able to go out for the evening with the knowledge that the children are being well looked after.

Penny worked for us on a 6-wk term arrangement to fill the gap between after I, the dad, returned to work and before my wife was fully recovered from birth. Penny was dedicated to our little girl and saw that she was very well looked after!
Penny came early in the morning ARRIVING promptly at 6:30 am. And it was about a 30 minute drive for her so she had to rise early to be there on time.
Penny talked with us, listened attentively, and helped us accomplish things beyond just caring for our little one. Penny loaded the dishwasher, washed bottles, sanitized them, warmed them, and cooled them - depending on the need. And she, looked after our cat in her spare moments while our little one slept or played in her activity area. Penny gave our cat his medicine, feed him, and brushed him.
Basically, Penny did everything we asked. I highly recommend her.

Penny has stepped in as an ad-hoc babysitter for me when my nanny was absent due to a family emergency. Not only was Penny very flexible, she was happy to jump in the deep end and nothing seemed to phase her. She was also very pro-active and was happy to take my 18month daughter to her regular toddler class and also do the school run for my son.
I would definitely contact Penny again as and when the need arises due to my nanny's absence etc.
