Blessed to have found Olaide

We were delighted to have our son River attend Olaide’s childminding services for 1.5 years.

River started with Olaide when he was 11 months old for 4 days per week on my transition back to work. Having no family near by, our needs were to find someone nurturing, warm and trustworthy that can help us both navigate this challenging transition with ease. Also somewhere calmer than an over stimulating nursery with a home from home experience.

I was initially very apprehensive to leave my son anywhere but Olaide made me feel safe, calm and comforted. She supported me and gave our son all the care he needed. Olaide was calm but firm, and helped River through formative stages of his life. Napping, weaning, walking, talking, all helped to grow by Olaide, made easier by her lovely clean home and beautiful large garden space.

I feel truly blessed to have given my son this starting experience and we will all truly miss Olaide.

I cannot recommend her enough.

Sinclair cherished his time with Olaide

Olaide looked after Sinclair for 2 years every Friday, from 8months old to 2 and a half. Olaide adapted to him over the years, cooked him homemade meals and snacks through the day, ensured he napped and organized lots of play and walked to the park. Sinny always had a big smile on his face with her. We recommend Olaide - she can be trusted, she’s very caring and patient. She also has a lovely house with a big garden.

A wonderful childminder

We were absolutely delighted with the care that Olaide provided our two children. Our one year old was with Olaide full time, while she also picked up her eldest from pre-school and had her in the afternoons.

Olaide is a simply lovely person and that shows in the warm, attentive and loving care she gives each child: she is incredibly experienced, so completely unflappable, very nurturing, very organised, flexible and reliable. Both our girls really thrived under her care and we greatly appreciated her wisdom. She also managed to get our rather picky eldest to eat a huge range of food types!

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Olaide to anyone. She provides an incredibly home-like set up and offers personalised care for her charges.

Our wonderful childminder

Olaide provides a wonderful and loving environment for the children she cares for. She has opened up her home and family to us. Olaide has looked after our second child since February 2020. Our eldest child was cared for by Olaide for over two years and still loves to go at pick-up time to say hello.

The children respond so well to Olaide’s direction and care. She encourages them with a variety of play, whether that’s painting or sand or water in her lovely garden, as well as lots of running around in the nearby parks. They spend a lot of time exploring outdoors. Olaide has a close group of fellow childminders who all meet up, so there are other children to socialise with as well as the close group that she looks after.

Our children love being with Olaide, they are very happy to be there. And this also goes for parents too, we place high value on her support and advice to us. We feel very lucky to have found her and wholeheartedly recommend.

Wonderful loving homely environment

I can’t recommend Olaide highly enough. She looked after our daughter for two and a half very happy years. We have recently moved out of London and leaving Olaide was one of the biggest wrenches.

Olaide provides a wonderful, relaxed, homely environment for the children in her care. We used to think of Olaide as a third parent and asked her advice on all sorts of things. Her own family built up a lovely relationship with the children as well. Prior to lockdown Olaide took the children on lots of outings to different parks and playgroups. As we were key workers, Olaide kindly carried on looking after our daughter in lockdown and made sure that she still had lots of interest and stimulation despite the restrictions, including making full use of her large garden.

We all miss Olaide a great deal!

Part of our Family

Olaide has looked after Henry since he was nine months old and our whole family adore her. Being an Early Years teacher myself, I thought I would find it difficult to find someone I trusted with the development of my son for long hours every day. Henry quickly settled in to joining Olaide's beautiful family and has benefited enormously from the inner warmth that radiates through all that she does. She is very dedicated to the children in her care and guides them with clear boundaries and enormous amounts of care and affection. She provides a welcoming and safe environment with regular trips to the park as well as a good variety of craft and play opportunities. She also produces delicious home cooked food and is still the only person that can get Henry to eat his vegetables! Olaide is an experienced mother and her advice has been incredibly valuable over the past four years. My son has now started school but she continues to help with school pick ups and flexible holiday care. Henry has flourished under her warm, loving nature and I am very grateful for the positive impact she has had on his life. I cannot recommend Olaide's services highly enough.
