My Experience
WHEN I WAS 17 YEARS OLD I WORKED FOR A FAMILY WITH 5 CHILDREN. WHOM ONE OF THE CHILDREN IS MY GOD DAUGHTER. MY ROLE WAS NANNY/MOTHERS HELP AND THAT CONSISTED OF LOOKING AFTER AND CARING FOR CHILDREN DURING THE DAY. ALSO PARENTS RELIED ON ME WITH THEIR CHILDREN WHEN THEY WENT ON HOLIDAY TO COMPLETE DAILY TASKS, I.E. MEAL TIMES, HOUSE KEEPING, ACTIVITES, HOMEWORK AND GENERAL DAY-TO-DAY TASKS. I WORKED THERE FOR OVER 5 YEARS DURING THAT TIME I PASSED MY DRIVING TEST SO IS ASLO ABLE TO TAKE AND COLLECT CHILDREN FROM SCHOOL. I HAD 3 NANNYING JOBS WHICH I REALLY ENJOYED VERY MUCH, HOWEVER DECIDED TO HAVE A CHANGE OF CAREER AND WENT INTO DENTAL NURSING AND HAVE BEEN RAISING MY DAUGHTER FOR 18YEARS AS A SINGLE PARENT. FROM 2014 I WAS GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY TO RE ENTER THE FIELD OF CHILDCARE AND HAVE SINCE THEN WORKED FOR MANY DIFFERENT FAMILIES. I HAVE A FULL DRIVING LICENCE, OWN CAR, NANNY INSURANCE, ENHANCED DBS CERTIFICATE. FIRST AID TRAINING. OFSTED REGISTERED.

My Availability
I WILL HAVE AVAILABILITY FROM SEPTEMBER 2026,
IDEALLY 2 DAYS PER WEEK AND FLEXIBLE WITH DAYS.
My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
- Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)
Nannying Rate of pay £14 per hour 8am-6pm
Babysitting Rate of pay £12 per hour 6pm-11pm
My Local Schools

Vanessa worked as a nanny for my son from September to April, starting when he was 9 months old. She built a warm rapport with him, which I appreciated.
However, I found the role proved challenging for Vanessa beyond basic childcare. Communication was inconsistent at times, and expectations around maintaining the home were not always met.
Engagement was largely limited to toy-based play, with limited involvement in outings or developmental activities such as cooking, crafts, or sensory play. As a result, in my experience, the role was not carried out to the standard I would expect of a professional nanny.
Toward the end, communication became increasingly difficult, and Vanessa did not complete her contracted notice period.
While she connects well with children, families seeking strong communication, reliability, and proactive engagement may wish to clarify expectations in advance.

This has been an impossible and volatile environment to work in however Thank you for showing your true colours.
Like the Title says, Vanessa is amazing with Children. I am a widow, and I was looking for someone like Vanessa to join my family on a when I need her basis. I have started hiking and doing evening events where I needed a nanny to stay overnight. My girls aged 9 and 11 absolutely Adore Vanessa. Vanessa kept the girls entertained and they were sad when Vanessa had to go home. I would recommend Vanessa to any Family.

Vanessa is amazing, she was wonderful with my three little ones. I have twins and a 2 year old and she was great with all three. She spent time with them playing and learning and teaching them new songs. I would love for Vanessa to be a regular here and my apologies it’s taken me a while… twin life and work has been a little crazy!

Vanessa looked after my two boys in their home recently and she was absolutely wonderful. She put both boys at complete ease and was kind and considerate. She managed so well and both boys were so pleased to hear that she is coming back. I would recommend Vanessa to anyone looking for help with childcare!

I am delighted to share my experience with our incredible babysitter, Vanessa. From the very first day, she has shown exceptional care and dedication towards our 6 month old baby. Her warm and nurturing demeanor immediately put me at ease, and it's clear that she genuinely loves what she does. Vanessa is also extremely reliable and punctual.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have found such a fantastic babysitter.Vanessa has truly become a part of our family in a very short period, and we cannot recommend her highly enough to anyone in need of a compassionate and skilled caregiver for their little one.
