Hi my name is Kate and I am an Ofsted registered childminder in New Haw, Surrey.
I have a level 3 in children’s and young people’s workforce, and hold a Paediatric First Aid Certificate, Enhanced CRB Check and PACEY Public Liability Insurance. I have a Full Clean Driving License, and my own car. I accept funding payments, also tax free childcare.
I live in a beautiful Bungalow with a large enclosed family garden, perfect for playing and exploring.
I provide a warm, comfortable home from home environment, which parents will feel relaxed about leaving their little ones in. I love to bake, do all sorts of crafts, gardening and other outdoor activities. I am a member of RHS Wisley and we spend lots of time there, not just walking and exploring, but we use the education centre too.
I have plenty of resources, toys, activities, outings and cuddles. I am a part of a large network of childminders, and we often meet up at playgroups, parks and organize outings too.

I have a dedicated room for Playing, a quiet area for reading and relaxing and a large secure garden ideal for playing and exploring.
I have been a childminder since August 2009. I have experience with children from birth to 16 years old. I have 2 of my own boys aged 12 and 16.

Kate had been looking after my 3 year old since she was 11 months old. I had heard great things about her from other parents and I feel really lucky that we managed to snap her up! From our first meeting, Kate instantly made me feel reassured that my daughter would be in safe & capable hands.
Kate has a lovely setting with plenty of toys and a beautiful garden to play in. She constantly helps to develop and prepare children for school but also, they often go on days out to places like Wisley gardens, farms, the library and playgroups - something you don’t get with nurseries or preschools. The extended hours and school holiday cover is also a huge help to us as working parents.
Not only is Kate incredibly experienced, but she is also very thoughtful and aware of each child’s needs. I often ask Kate for advice as her knowledge is invaluable. She always has time for parents and I never feel rushed out the door at home time.
My daughter loves going to Kate and always runs through the door each morning. I plan to keep her with Kate until she starts school and I know it will be sad day when that time eventually comes!

Kate has been most helpful to settle my 10month old son since I got back to work. He’s now almost two and loves going to her place every week! Kate has plenty of activities and arts and crafts at her place, and also bringing my son out to gardens, parks, play groups, and plenty more. She’s so caring and mindful about each individual child’s need, it puts my mind at ease as a first time mum here. She is great to communicate as well. I would highly recommend her as a childminder!

Kate is an absolute fantastic childminder who has been incredibly supportive of the transition back to work for both myself and my daughter. Despite being very clingy to me, from the first meeting my daughter felt comfortable and content with Kate and the relationship has flourished in a short space of time. Kate provides crafts and activities perfect for the age of children she is looking after, and has a safe environment for the children in her care. Our daughter has already made great developmental leaps and Kate takes the time to understand where we have concerns and help us in supporting our daughters next steps. For 3 days a week I can feel totally relaxed knowing my daughter is in safe hands and is happy to be be with Kate!

Kate is an amazing childminder. My daughter went to her for 2 years and had the best time. She loved Kate’s house as she got to play outside, do arts and crafts and even nurture caterpillars into butterflies! She also went on various trips out, attended playgroups regularly and had lovely home cooked meals. Kate spent time and effort helping her development, confidence and learning, as well as preparing her for school and helping her to be more independent. Kate was also a massive support to me as a first time mum in Covid! Our daughter loves Kate - so much so, we’re still in touch. I’d recommend her to everyone!

Kate has been looking after our son for over 18 months and she has been brilliant with him. Kate has been supporting him with all areas of development, including his delayed speech, and regularly communicates with us through conversations, photos and updates. Our son loves going to Kate's, especially all the outdoor play, indoor crafts and trips. Kate has been amazing during the pandemic, making sure she looks after the children in her care in a safe environment, through this challenging time. We highly recommend Kate and so does our son!

Kate has been looking after my two and a half year old daughter for two days a week since December last year and it has been a great experience so far. Kate has a lovely house and garden with plenty of activities to explore. The children are of mixed ages with provides a dynamic environment for learning from each other. They often do outside activities and join playgroups, visit local parks etc which keeps them all occupied. Kate is very organized and it has made the process of getting the paperwork sorted etc very easy.

Kate has been looking after my daughter 3 days a week for the last 8 months. My daughter settled very quickly and now loves both of Kate’s sons, who are great with the kids, as well as the other children Kate looks after.
What first attracted me to Kate as a childminder was her lovely, secure garden which allows the children to have plenty of time playing outside and exploring while being completely safe. My daughter is always kept very busy and her speech has come on so much, it is just lovely now that she can tell me what she has been up to during the day!
I would recommend Kate if you value a laid back environment that provides plenty of activities indoors and out.

Kate looked after my son for a year and he enjoyed every minute of it. They had loooads of adventures and fun together, Kate took them somewhere (softplay, Wisley Gardens, parks, playgroups) nearly every day.
Kate is very kind and very good to children.It was like my son had 2 homes, one here with us and one with Kate. I can highly recommend her.

My daughter Charlotte has been going to Kate's for 4 years now and she is very happy there. She first started going there when she was 1 year old and she has developed into a very happy confident little girl. She loves all the activities that Kate does with her and it is clear that she thoroughly enjoys her time there. Kate picks Charlotte up from school now and as she is so reliable I know that Charlotte is in very safe hands.

There is nothing about Kate that I would change. My son Theo is so happy with her and she makes it super easy for me, (as an emotional and clingy mummy!) to leave my boy. Her house is beautiful, clean, spacious and well equipped and her family is equally as lovely. Theo is so relaxed with Kate and we are so pleased he gets to spend lots of time with her visiting various groups and other fab places as well as being totally comfortable at her house. I would highly recommend her childminding services and would be happy to give any other parents peace of mind.
