About Me
With over 25 years professional experience supporting children from babies to teenagers — across nurseries, infant schools, after-school clubs and private homes — I bring warmth, calm and reliability.
Most recently, I worked as a Teaching Assistant and Lunchtime Leader at Pickhurst Infant Academy, supporting Reception to Year 2 children with phonics, literacy, numeracy, and Forest School. I also worked part-time at The Yellow House Nursery in Beckenham, a Montessori setting, and have provided after-school care for two families. In addition, I currently run weekend arts and crafts workshops for children aged 2–12 through Iced Gems Events & Parties at shopping centres across London, during school holidays and half-terms.
I am available to begin a new childcare position immediately.
Outside of work, I am a mother to two adult children and a very involved aunt to seven young children -including an under one year old, 2 x two sets of twins (aged 3 and 2), a 4-year old, and a 8 year old who is non-verbal with complex health needs. I regularly support their care routines during week/weekends, including play, feeding, and medical appointments, which keeps my practical experience current and has deepened my understanding of additional needs.
I hold training in safeguarding, food safety, and first aid, and bring a calm, friendly presence to every home or setting I work in. I am passionate about helping children feel safe, supported and confident, and would love the opportunity to bring my energy and experience to your family.
My Experience
Over 20 years’ childcare experience across nurseries, schools, and private homes. I’ve supported babies through to teenagers in EYFS, KS1/KS2, SEN and Montessori settings. Recent roles include Teaching Assistant/cover Teacher and Lunchtime Leader at Pickhurst Infant Academy (Reception–Year 2), and full-time nursery work at The Yellow House in Beckenham,age groups 6months-primary care. I’ve also provided after-school care for two families and run weekend arts & crafts events for 2–12s. Confident with feeding, routines, nappy changes, phonics, and play-based learning. I hold safeguarding, first aid and food hygiene training.

- NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools.
- Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.
- Safeguarding Training (Bromley and NSPCC).
- First Aid, Fire Safety and Health & Safety Certificates.
- SEN Awareness including autism, ADHD, allergies, and communication difficulties.
- Training in EYFS/KS1 curriculum: phonics, maths, comprehension, science, learning through play.
- National Training Award Certificates in Disability Awareness for Team Members, Working with Children, Safeguarding Children, Child Protection Officer, Food Allergies and Intolerance (Level 2), Slips and Trips, Dealing with Workplace Emergencies, Accidents and Reporting, Fire Safety and Fire Safety for Fire Marshalls, Level 2 Certificate Introducing Caring for Children and Young People an currently undertaking Level 2 Safeguarding and Prevention course.
