My Summary

My Experience

I have a degree in Education and Social Science. I've worked in schools and children centres, developing and delivering lessons for children between birth - 11 for over 7 years. I have also provided childcare and tutoring for multiple families, helping with homework and creating fun activities to learn from.

I have a good knowledge of both the early years and national curriculum, teaching phonics and working with children who need extra support in the classroom. My experience however is not exclusive to younger children, I have worked with families and cared for their children throughout secondary school also.

I believe that as an educator you can and should take aspects from multiple pedagogies in order to help children develop. This can be through a more child-led/Montessori approach as well as incorporating outdoor learning which can see not only children's academic achievement improve but also their personal wellbeing, confidence and development. I am particularly passionate about the importance of play in education at any age, nothing is more engaging or natural to a child therefore not honouring that is doing them a disservice. Whilst completing my university degree I completed a short course in natural thinking, where children connect with nature through practical activities.

My ambition is to create an environment in which children feel confident to explore, want to develop and most importantly learning is enjoyable.

• Babysitting from £25.00 per hour
• Tutoring from £30.00 per hour

My fees reflect my experience and knowledge of the primary and early years curriculum, as well as my experience and passion in caring for children.
