Wonderful Nanny

Pippa became an incredibly valued and trusted pillar in our home and in our family’s day-to-day life. She was responsible for two young boys in a nanny share arrangement, caring for them from the ages of 9 months and 12 months through to 21 months and 24 months respectively. Throughout this period, she demonstrated a deep, intuitive understanding of both children and was exceptionally attuned to their individual cues, needs, and emotions.

She consistently met the children with warmth, openness, and reassurance, while managing competing priorities with impressive calm and ease. One of Pippa’s greatest strengths was her ability to remain grounded and composed in all situations. She earned the children’s trust and respect naturally and always returned that respect to them in equal measure. Her calm presence and thoughtful approach resulted in confident, positive responses from the children, even during transitions or challenging moments.

Pippa placed strong emphasis on narration, communication, and consent, clearly explaining what was happening and what would happen next. This approach was invaluable in supporting the children’s confidence, emotional security, and autonomy. The children grew noticeably in confidence and capability and transitioned happily to and from Pippa’s care. They thrived on routine, which Pippa fostered with great consistency and care.

During the winter months, when both children experienced periods of illness, Pippa was agile, responsive, and deeply supportive. She adjusted plans and pacing seamlessly to prioritise their wellbeing, always ensuring they felt safe, comforted, and understood.

Pippa planned enriching, age-appropriate outings, managed meals and naps with precision, and brought creativity and initiative into the home — including rotating toys to keep the children engaged and stimulated. We deeply appreciated the regular photos and updates she shared, which brought us enormous reassurance and peace of mind throughout the day.

Above all, Pippa responded to the children’s physical and emotional needs with love, confidence, and an impressive depth of knowledge of early childhood development. Her leadership, judgement, and care were exceptional. There was no one we trusted more with our children, and we felt incredibly fortunate to have had her as such a central part of our family’s life.

Excellent

Pippa babysat our 2 year old and he took to her immediately. On her first time, she gave him his dinner, went through his bedtime routine, and had him off to sleep only 20 minutes past his usual sleeping time. I was amazed! I had told her to do her best and that with patience and kindness he would eventually go to sleep but wouldn't have been surprised if it took an hour or more. I was so happy he got off to sleep so close to his usual time.
